Just spent a fortune on skincare! Well, not really. At least, I have not paid for them yet. My Sister is flying to KL this week and she is transiting in Hong Kong. I was supposed to replenish my skincare from Parkson, Miri but I realized that the deals in Hong Kong are a lot more attractive!
I am adding new products to my skincare line. Yay! Can’t wait to try them out but the earliest I can get my hands on them is in mid April when I am flying to China for a week holiday with family. *sobs*
Anyways, here is a list of the new products that I am adding to my skincare line. 🙂
- Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum+
- Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
- Origins GinZing Eye Cream
Sister told me that the Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum is selling for only HKD$1410 and it comes with two full size bottles of Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Protective Emulsion SPF15 and Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Moisturizing Emulsion. It’s a great deal, isn’t it? I am only paying for B$233 when the original retail price for the mentioned three products is B$315.
I think I am a weirdo! I went to watch This Means War for the second time yesterday. Went out with a friend yesterday after work. We were supposed to have dinner together after work. But my manager brought me to HQ office yesterday afternoon before I had my afternoon tea. I am already starving by 5:00p.m. and I don’t think I could wait till dinner at 7:00p.m. So, I had my dinner at work earlier. I did not have any rice. Just a few pieces of chickens and lots of long beans omelet. They were nice! I think I had too much to the extent that I felt extremely full when I was washing my dishes away. Hahaha …
Friend picked me up from work at 7:00p.m. and told me that he is not feeling hungry at all coz he had late afternoon tea at 4:00p.m. with a bunch of his university classmates. Fair enough! So, we skipped dinner and went for dessert instead. He had a glass of Pearl Milk Tea at TeaBox, The Mall. I used to craze for their Milk Tea during college days but not anymore. Maybe I have grown up not to like those drinks anymore? 🙂
Went to buy movie tickets for the 9:45p.m. of This Means War show. I was so lucky few Sundays ago. I only paid B$4.00 for a movie on a Sunday! No one believed me. But it’s true, you know???!!!!
Here comes the highlight of today’s blog entry. Mango Snow Ice with Peach Cubes and Milk Snow Ice with Coco-Crunch.
I liked this picture a lot. It may not show a clear picture of the snow ice. Anyways, let me show you the clearer pictures of what we ordered. 😉
I hope you can differentiate between the snow ice and the flavored topping. I know the picture is so blue in color but there is nothing that I can do coz I am not using any high spec digital camera. It’s just an ordinary compact digital camera. The orange or brown color solid cube thing is the peach. The whiter bits is the snow ice itself which is mango flavored and the powdery thing atop the snow ice is sour plum powder. You might think that the whole combination is weird. But surprisingly, it was good. It usually goes with mango syrup but the Cashier told me that they ran out of the mango syrup. All they have got left is chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, sour plum and some other weird flavorings which I think would make the whole thing taste weird. I thought the sour plum that the Cashier mentioned was in syrup.
Friend finally got what he wanted. Milk Snow Ice with Coco-Crunch. He wanted to order this the last time we went but they said they don’t have the ingredients or what. I think you can guess what are the ingredients by just reading the name of this dessert. Well, it’s milk flavored snow ice with Hershey Chocolate Syrup, Coco-Crunch and chocolate powder. Friend claimed that the snow ice only had the slightest taste of milk. Not really strong but it was nice afterall.
Hope you enjoyed reading. Ciao~~ 🙂
Went out with family yesterday evening as I need to have a pedicure at Essensuals Beauty Hair & Nail Spa. I usually go there coz one of their manicurists – Juliet can remove my ingrown nails properly without me screaming to be rescued. I was already starving before I had my pedicure done. It took me an hour before I am fully done with pedicure. Did not have any fancy nail arts design this time coz it’s time for my nails to breathe.
Bought a headband from iTop coz Ing asked me to. It’s B$9.90 and she’s lucky coz it was the last piece left.
Had dinner with parents at this restaurant called Soon Soon Lai Restaurant which is located at Menglait. It’s located below a restaurant which was previously known as Big Thumb Restaurant. Easily spotted coz Soon Soon Lai Restaurant is just at the corner of the building. We were supposed to go Hing Nam Fong Restaurant but my mom heard the wrong name and we ended up at Chin Nam Hong Restaurant instead. I was too lazy to think of how to get to Hing Nam Fong Restaurant so my mom suggested we go Soon Soon Lai Restaurant instead.
There weren’t much options available. I wanted to try their Curry Noodles but decided not to since I have an extremely weak stomach. Lesson learnt! 🙂
It’s been a while since I last had this. This is called Teh-C Special, otherwise known as Three Layered Tea. The dark colored liquid at the very bottom is actually brown sugar syrup. Some people said it’s Gula Melaka but I think they were all the same coz they fall under the same category – sugar! The centered layer is condensed milk and the brown colored liquid is tea, of course. 😉
Had 花旗猪扒饭. It’s a dish with deep fried marinated pork cutlets along with two pieces of ham luncheon meat and an egg, with sunny side up. I liked the way they cooked the egg. Nice! You can either choose to have your rice to be fried or just normal plain rice. I liked the ham luncheon meat but it was a bit too salty. The pork cutlets were a little bit dry but still acceptable.
Food was served rather quickly and the place was hygienic enough. Some other blogger reviewed about their Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw, am thinking of trying it some other time. Hahaha … 🙂
It seems like I don’t blog as much as I used to anymore. It used to be at least an entry per day, but it’s an entry every few days nowadays. Hahaha … Not that I don’t wanna blog, it’s just that I don’t have the topic to blog about. As you can see, my blog is all about food and products’ reviews.
Anyways, let’s get back to what I intended to do in the first place. Some of you might not know Secret Recipe. It’s a Malaysian franchise restaurant specializing in cakes! I like their Black Forest Cream Cake especially when it’s freshly flown in from Kuching or KK. When I was still working at my previous workplace, I would reward myself with a slice of their Black Forest Cream Cake with a cup of Black Coffee if I am working on early shift and finishes work at 5p.m. They have this special promotion from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. whereby you’ll get a free cup of Black Coffee or Tea on the mentioned time during weekdays. I think the special promotion doesn’t apply on weekends.
Shit … I kept on going out of topic. Now stay focus!
As usual, Jia accompanied me the other night coz I insisted that I wanna sit in her new car. Hahaha … So, I did not drive to work and waited for her to pick me up from the office. I do love the feeling of not having to drive and someone driving you. Hahaha … It’s been like that ever since I got my license.
Jia told me that she is on a diet so she had her dinner at home before she picked me up. So, it’s only me having dinner. She ordered for a glass of Fresh Watermelon Juice and I got a glass of warm plain water for myself.
I got myself Chicken Steak Burger with Fries for dinner. You must be thinking that I am a weirdo for ordering this at Secret Recipe. I don’t like the Chicken Lasagna at Secret Recipe coz it’s too dry for my liking. They serve good Prawn Macaroni with Cheese though but I don’t feel like having it that night. I ordered Chicken Steak Burger with Fries coz they used chicken thigh instead of the usual chicken breast meat for the patty and the size of the patty is huge. It’s bigger than the bun itself. The patty is fried to perfection. Super juicy and tender but I think it’s a bit too salty. Nevertheless, it still tastes great. 🙂
Let me show you the size of the chicken patty. Big or not?
I guess this is all for now. Till then. 🙂
Why do people make promises when they don’t even know whether they can keep them or not. I came across a few people whom have made promises to me that they will not make the same mistake again. But they broke their promises and the same mistakes happened again.
Before you make any promise, please make sure that you do understand the meaning of “promise” perfectly. Do you know that promises are meant to be kept but not broken? If you can’t even keep your promises, what’s the point of making them in the first place?
