Mango Cheesecake @ Ximply Chriz Cafe

As some of you may have known, Ing was in town for the weekend last week. So, I made attempt to meet her up for lunch at Sarang Korean Restaurant and we both were full to the max but still spare some tummy spaces for desserts later on. It was my third visit to Ximply Chriz Cafe on last Saturday afternoon. Click here for the first visit and here for the second visit.

Ximply Chriz Cafe ran out of their Fruit Tart on my previous visit with Sister and Jennifer. But luckily for me, they can still make Fruit Tart in the kitchen albeit it was no longer available on the dessert fridge. And I ordered another slice of Mango Cheesecake to share with Ing as well. Little did I know that Ing is not a huge fan of both mango and durian. Lots of my friends love durian, maybe just not Ing and Kaylie. LOL!

Mango Cheesecake | B$5.00

I think this was priced at B$5.00 per slice because I accidentally teared off the receipt while I was clearing the receipts and junks in my wallet. LOL! Honestly speaking, if you are a huge fan of durian and mango, I think you are gonna love it. Maybe I should recommend Jennifer this place again for their Mango Cheesecake. She loves durian like I do. We are probably going to The Xinful Cafe tomorrow evening to try their Durian Strudel.

So, you must be wondering why am I making durian related to this Mango Cheesecake? It may be surprising but both Ing and I tasted durian flavor in the cake. Ing is never a huge fan of durian so she could pick up the “unpleasant” taste very quickly. I tasted it too when I took the first bite but I thought it was quite impossible until Ing asked if I am a huge fan of mango and durian. Then she told me that she tasted durian in the cheesecake. So, it proved that my taste bud did not go haywire afterall.

The texture of the cheesecake was smooth and the taste of cheese wasn’t too overpowering to the extend that you’ll feel sick when having too much. Ing agreed that the cheese level was moderate too.

Fruit Tart | B$3.80

It was not as good as what I had during the first time. It was probably because the grapes weren’t very sweet but the mango chunks were sweet though. But nevertheless, it was still good. I just prefer the grapes to be slightly sweeter.

My dessert companion, who started to look or feel grumpy whose phone was unable to connect to the cafe’s complimentary WiFi.
