Blog entry was drafted on New Year Eve but got caught up with work and ended up not being able to post on time.

Just wanna clear my 2015 blog entries before the new year starts. As mentioned in my previous blog entries, Sister came home from Shanghai on Christmas Day. And we had late dinner at Excapade Sushi, Times Square. The both of us met up with Jennifer last Sunday. Before settling with R&B, both Jennifer and I were contemplating between places.

We almost went ahead with All Seasons for dim sum lunch. Thank goodness we did not as I am not at all a dim sum fan. The reason why we ended up at R&B was because Sister was tempted to try their Chicken Pesto Crepe Lasagna after showing her what I had the first time I tried out R&B. LOL!

Took welfie while waiting for Jennifer to arrive. Gadong was jam packed last Sunday afternoon but thankfully, we managed to get a parking spot at the basement parking of Centrepoint Hotel. Hair still looked slightly immaculate as we both just had hair treatment prior to the lunch date. xD

Loved this selfie as it made me looked slim but not on the skin color though. The camera did not do much adjustment on brushing up the skin tone. Oh well, no one is perfect. At least, that’s what I think. LOL!

Not gonna bore you with my selfie anymore. So, let’s get started with the food pictures, shall we?

Orange Pineapple, Passionfruit | B$6

Had this again coz I super loved since the first time I had it. But I think it was much sour this time compared to the last time I had it. Nevertheless, still good and a perfect thirst quencher on a hot weather.

Salmon, Avocado Egg Benedict | B$12

Sister’s choice of lunch which tasted average for me. The roasted potatoes tasted pretty bland. One of the poached eggs was slightly torn on the egg white surface. Hence the egg yolk came oozing out even before the platter hit the table.

Pesto Chicken Crepe Lasagna | B$13

It was Sister who was intrigued to try this in the first place but she told me to order this while she went ahead ordering Salmon, Avocado Egg Benedict. What sorcery is this??!! LOL! Portion was indeed bigger before than before but I preferred the taste from before. This lasagna came with generous portion of pesto paste but lack in cheese.  Click here for comparison.

Pesto Chicken Ciabatta Bread | B$9

Jennifer’s choice of lunch. Came with super generous portion of the pesto paste. Can’t succumb to temptation and ended up nicking a couple of her fries in between. LOL!

Purple Carrot Cake | B$5

Been craving for the Carrot Cake from Fleur-de-lys Bakeshop but never gotten round to drop by and buy a slice. So, I made do with Purple Carrot Cake from R&B instead. Honestly speaking, I think majority of you may find purple carrot to be rare but I heard that the “original” carrot is purple in color.

The carrot cake layers were sandwiched in between layers of cream cheese frosting. Cinammon taste is not strong as compared to the Carrot Cake from Fleur-de-lys Bakeshop. Texture is drier as they did not use crushed pineapples like some recipes do. Crushed pineapples make the cake moist. The one thing special about this Purple Carrot Cake is that it has chocolate chips in it!

This Purple Carrot Cake is passable for me as I find the sweetness to be moderate. But not all fancy Carrot Cake as some may find the texture dry.

Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake | B$5

For the chocolate lovers, but not for me. The cake originally came with White Chocolate frosting, if I am not wrong. But the chocolates melted when heated in the microwave. Hence the swirling liquid effect on the platter.

It was like eating Molten Chocolate Lava but the cake texture was drier. I liked the melted chocolate but not so much on the cake texture. I preferred my Purple Carrot Cake over this. LOL!
