Cooking Diary #36

Think I am gonna draft all my blog entries today and then have them published at specified date and time. It has been a while since I last cooked. Mom is still in Kuching so I have to cook myself some food to bring to workplace as lunch as well as Dad’s lunch and dinner.

Stir Fry Sliced Chicken Breast with Black Fungus & Ginger

Inspired by a colleague of mine who always cook this dish to workplace as lunch. I had wanted to cook the sliced chicken with spring onions but I decided to substitute spring onions with fresh black fungus. And it turned out great! Should have bought two packets of fresh black fungus instead of one only.

Salted Vegetable Soup with Pork Bones & Silken Tofu

Cooked by Sister last Sunday evening as she was craving for tofu soup. So, I suggested that we add salted vegetables too! Bought some fresh pork bones from Supa Save as we do not have enough time for the pork ribs in the freezer to defrost. You must be wondering why is the soup looking dark in color? Reason being, we did not clean the pork bones well enough. Hence, the blood came out and colored the soup, LOL! But all in all, the soup tasted great.
