I was going through my WordPress Media archive and I found out that I have quite a few skincare products which I have yet reviewed on. And furthermore, I also realized that my skincare stash is going low at this point. Guess it is time for me to stock up on some new products. I had not been stocking much on new skincare products for quite some time as I am more of a stickler nowadays as compared to before.
But I think I am gonna try a few new cleansing oils which I could find on Sasa. I had been looking at the new ones a while ago and still pretty much indecisive on which one to get as I need to spend at least ¥249 to entitle free delivery across China. Yeah … I am having my items delivered to my Sister’s place in Shanghai.
Anyways, I will be doing a review on Artistry Youth Xtend Rich Cleansing Foam today. I bought it couple of months ago. I got it out of exchange with Artistry Ideal Radiance Illuminating CC Cream. Ing gladly exchanged it for me despite she had warned me that I might not like the shade of the tint on my skin. True enough, I did not like it as it somehow made my skin looked even darker.
Artistry Youth Xtend Rich Cleansing Foam
When this product was newly launched years ago, I bought a tube for Mom when she told me that she ran out of cleansing foam. It turned out that she did not like this facial cleanser as it doesn’t lather much compared to the cheap or Shiseido cleansers which she had been using all these while. Albeit the dissatisfaction, she used up the entire tube.
While I was looking for Artistry product to exchange with the CC Cream which I returned, Ing recommended me this Artistry Youth Xtend Rich Cleansing Foam again. I was both hesitant and reluctant to try given the negative feedback which Mom gave me. I gave in in the end and decided to give this product benefit of doubt. It turned out that it was only preferential issue. Mom loves cleansers which lather very well. I do too but not as much as her.
This cleanser lathered just fine for me. The texture of the cleanser is slightly on the creamy side instead of like a dry paste which you get from cheap facial cleansers. It leaves your skin soft, smooth and clean after rinsing. There is no skin tightening feel at all, which means the cleanser does not strip skin moisture. It smells okay, not heavily perfumed.
So, here’s what I think of Artistry Youth Xtend Rich Cleansing Foam in a nutshell:
Pros:
1. Lathers well enough.
2. Mildly scented.
3. Doesn’t strip skin moisture.
4. Leaving skin soft, smooth and clean after rinse.
5. Affordable.
Cons:
None that I could think of.
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5
