Tonight was a productive evening as I managed to get so many things done in within a couple of hours. I had dinner on my own at Genki Teppanyaki Restaurant & Catering as I needed to collect some documents from Baiduri Bank in Times Square. Drove to Supa Save, Beribi for some grocery shopping as I wanted to buy some Dole bananas for baking, buttermilk and Dairy Farmers’ yogurt. Headed home straight after finishing grocery shopping and started baking Cranberry & Chia Seed Banana Bread.
I had finally finished reading After You by Jojo Moyes! It was a good book despite the negative reviews on Amazon. To be honest, I felt kind of sad that I had finished reading both Me Before You and After You. You must think that I am kind of a weirdo but they were both good! It had been a while since I last came across a book which I find it hard to put down despite it took me quite long to finish them both. LOL!
Anyways, let’s not talk about books anymore before I bore you guys off. LOL!
Unagi Temaki | B$3.80
I was craving for some temaki when I was browsing through the menu and it took me quite some time before I settled with this Unagi Temaki. The options were not as extensive as compared to Kaizen Sushi and Excapade Sushi. Honestly speaking, this Unagi Temaki did not leave me with a “wow” effect. The unagi was somehow too “mushy” for my liking. The sushi rice however exceeded my expectation. It was perfectly flavored with just the right amount of sourness.
Chicken Katsu Don | B$6.80
Had this for dinner as it look tempting when Kaylie had it last Friday during our dinner meet up. Hers was under cooked previously when served. So, I made sure mine was fully cooked before I dug in. It was not bad. The chicken cutlets were well marinated. The meat was juicy and tender. However, the sweet sauce was too much for my liking. The miso soup was however tad bit saltier today compared to when I had it last Friday.
