Review: THE KREMA

Just came home from dinner and desserts with Jennifer not long ago. We had our dinner at THE KREMA and desserts at Yugo Dessert Cafe. Dinner supposed to be with Kaylie but she said she cannot make it today as she has some baby errands to run. When you have friends being parents already, you will hear them saying that they need to buy this and that for their babies. LOL!

I thought of having dinner at THE KREMA alone since Kaylie cannot make it. Then Jennifer came in and asked if I wanted to have coffee tonight after our unsuccessful attempt yesterday evening. I said she could join me at THE KREMA for dinner if she doesn’t mind. She agreed and we both met at THE KREMA at half past seven. The place was almost empty apart from a table of patrons when we arrived. The place started to slowly fill up when we were done with our dinner.

Ordering is over the counter. Food will be delivered to you shortly after ordering. They do not have an extensive menu at the moment but it is more than enough if you wanted a nice cup of coffee with some light food to munch on.

Cafe Latte | B$4.50

Had my usual Cafe Latte. Requested for skimmed milk but they only had regular full cream milk. This Cafe Latte was good and it has the right bitterness. I like Cafe Lattes which are bitter. The more bitter, the better it is. LOL!

Grilled Chicken Panini | B$5.50

Both Jennifer and I ordered one main course each to share. This Grilled Chicken Panini was good. The grilled chicken was juicy and tender, topped with thousand island dressing if I am not mistaken. I liked that the panini bread was not tough or dry like some others which I had previously tried.

Fish & Chips | B$7.50

Came with four to five pieces of deep fried battered fish slices, seasoned fries, tartar sauce and a small wedge of lemon. The lemon wedge was so small that it flew off my fingers onto the floor when I tried to squeeze out the juice. The fish was nicely done with the right crunch. The chips were heavily seasoned though. I think I preferred the Grilled Chicken Panini over this.

Verdict: Liked the ambiance at THE KREMA. It was cozy and the lighting was good. I do not mind returning to THE KREMA next time for their coffee. Their food menu is pretty limited at the moment. Hopefully, they will have more to offer in the near future. If you want good coffee and light food to munch on, THE KREMA is a place you could consider.
