Review: Envie De Neuf Hyaluronic Acid Whitening Hydromask

I am trying to use up the facial sheet masks which I currently have in my skincare stash drawer. I think some of them were way expired. Gonna find some time to clear them so that I could get some new ones? LOL! Anyways, this Envie De Neuf Hyaluronic Acid Whitening Hydromask was a souvenir gift from Jennifer couple of months ago. She gave me this along with Dr. Morita Rehydrating & Restoring Facial Mask, which I had reviewed couple of days ago.

As usual, I would place the facial mask into the fridge for a short while before application just to give the skin a little bit of cooling effect and minimize pore size at the same time. Doubted it is gonna work much for the latter but it is better than nothing, right? This whitening hydromask claimed to contain multi-hydrating essence such as hyaluronic acid, aloe vera extract and sodium PCA to deliver intensive hydration to the skin and to help maximize the cellular moisture lever.

Texture wise, the facial sheet mask was thicker than Dr. Morita’s. This facial mask is fragrance free, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. There was no stinging sensation during the first few minutes of application.

The facial mask was drenched with generous amount of the essence. Consistency wise, it was not as thick as compared to Dr. Morita’s. But what I did not like about this facial mask is that the capability of holding essence is not as good as Dr. Morita’s as the essence kept on dripping down my neck. It was rather annoying to be honest. The feeling of liquid dripping down onto your neck and having to keep on wiping them off throughout the 20 minutes of application.

Performance wise, it was okay enough for me. I can see that my skin was brighter in complexion. However, the hydrating effect did not last long as compared to Dr. Morita’s.

So, here’s what I think of Envie De Neuf Hyaluronic Acid Whitening Hydromask in a nutshell:

Pros:
1. Fragrance free.
2. No stinging sensation during application.
3. Brighter skin complexion after application.

Cons:
1. Hydrating effect did not last long.
2. Facial mask was not able to hold essence well enough as essence kept on dripping down the neck.

Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5
