After getting one of my errands done in Boulevard last Sunday morning, I headed to The Maker Cafe for my caffeine fix of the day only to find that they are not open. They open six days per week and closing on every Sunday.
Turned around and walked to The Seventh instead. They do not have much coffees to choose from but it seems like majority cafes in Miri serve Salted Caramel Latte whereas it is not that common here in Brunei. We have Caramel Latte but not Salted Caramel Latte.
If you are wondering where The Seventh is located, it is located around Boulevard area and across Desserts Master. The Seventh is located where ZenQ used to be but ZenQ has now moved to Bintang Megamall. There is a salon next to The Seventh but I could not recall the name. It was pouring at the time when this picture was taken.
So, a little peek into how the cafe looked like. The menu is not very extensive in my opinion but they do have good selection for desserts. They serve sweet and savory waffles as well as Eggette. One of their bestsellers is their homemade Coconut Pudding. The portion looked big to me hence I did not order it.
Salted Caramel Latte | RM9.50
It took them approximately 10 minutes for them to serve me this Salted Caramel Latte after placing my order. I am guessing that I was the first customer who ordered coffee for the day. Hence, they needed some time to start up the coffee machine?
Salted Caramel Latte is definitely not my cup of “tea”. It tasted salty, much to my expectation. The milk overpowered the taste of coffee. In short, all you could taste is milk and not coffee.
