Jennifer finally got to try the Thai restaurant located in Wisma Jaya after our failed first attempt earlier this week. When I first arrived, I thought the place was not open as it looked dark from the outside. But as I approached nearer, I sighed in relief when I saw the entrance door wide open. LOL! There was a table of mother and daughter when I arrived.
I waited for Jennifer to arrive first before we started placing orders for lunch. Without further ado, let me show you what the both of us had for lunch today. We settled with three dishes first in case we cannot finish. And I ordered two takeaways for my colleagues too.
Pad Thai | B$5
We ordered our favorite Pad Thai and requested for no bean sprout. I do not like the taste of bean sprouts in my noodles especially if they are not fresh as they tend to affect the taste of the noodles. I like that the noodles were fried to a springy texture albeit being oily and all.
Stir Fry Basil Chicken with Rice | B$5
We ordered this as this dish seems to be one of their bestselling. You know what? My dad always had basil when he cooks himself Maggi Curry and I hated that smell. But surprisingly, this Stir Fry Basil Chicken did not have the basil scent which I hate. Both Jennifer and I agreed that there weren’t a lot of basil leaves in the dish to begin with. A bit spicy, so do inform the chef that you want less spicy if you could not take much spicy food.
Thai Red Curry | B$5
A no-no for me as I find this too spicy and too much coconut milk. But if you like spicy food, you might like this more than me. Jennifer pretty much enjoyed this dish as she liked spicy food. It has the “spicy” kick which she likes.
