On our way back to Bandar from our overnight trip to Miri, we stopped by Kuala Belait (KB) for some food. We actually wanted to have rice dishes as we had been eating gluten products since yesterday. Asked both Jia and King for recommendation and both suggested Cottage Restaurant. San Diann drove around KB town to give us options and we settled with Beanery & Co. instead.
It took us a few turns before we could find the location of Beanery & Co. The said cafe is located opposite Chung Hua Middle School, KB or a stone throw away from Ding Tea.
The cafe is not big in size but able to accommodate quite a number of patrons at a time. The lighting in the cafe was good. Seating were comfortable too. We took the corner seat and it was sofa cushioned with big size plush pillows.
Tried taking flat lay shot of the food that we ordered and I sucked big time. Can’t seem to find the creative angle for my flat lays most of the time.
Anyways, a bit of disclaimer here before I proceed further. I cannot exactly remember which beverages below are which and what but I will do my best in remembering. So, if you do find my mistakes in identifying them, please do let me know!
Chocolate Mint Latte | B$5.50
Green Tea Latte | B$5.50
This I remembered for sure as this was what I had. It had a distinctive green tea taste but it was overly sweet for my liking. I only managed half the cup before giving up completely.
Vanilla Latte | B$5.50
Salmon Quiche | B$5.50
I intended to try out their Water Melon Cake at first but the apperance of the cake did not appeal to me so I went ahead with ordering this Salmon Quiche and it was the best decision ever. The quiche was loaded with super generous portion of spinach. Salmon, I don’t think so. Both San Diann and Clara agreed that this Salmon Quiche was good too!
Verdict: Beanery & Co. offers quite a wide selection of hot food based on the menu provided. Quite a range of sandwiches as well when I was browsing through the menu on their iPad. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed with their Green Tea Latte as I heard good coffees’ reviews of Beanery & Co.
