On my last Miri weekend overnight trip, I brought Ing, Clara and San Diann to try out Cake Rush as it is located nearby Kingwood Boutique Hotel. As a matter of fact, I brought them to Cake Rush twice. LOL! Once was when both Clara and San Diann have yet had proper lunch, so we went Cake Rush to have some desserts before dinner. Second was when I needed to collect my cake order to bring back to Bandar.
Without further ado, let me show you what we had in both of our visits. It was not easy for Ing to agree with my food taste and vice versa. So, it was good to know that she agreed that the desserts served at Cake Rush were good!
Vanilla Latte | RM9.50
Ice Rose Latte | RM10.50
Rose Latte | RM9.50
Tried Rose Latte the other day after having tried Green Tea Latte on my first visit. I should have went ahead with full cream milk instead of skimmed milk. As skimmed milk has a lighter taste, the taste of rose syrup overpowered the taste of coffee. I think I am going to stick to my usual Green Tea Latte next time.
Chocolate Cake | RM8.00
If you are a big fan of chocolate cakes, do try out Cake Rush. I am sure their Chocolate Cake will not disappoint you. A lot of my friends and colleagues had tried this and all of them sang praises. Ing even went back the second time for it. I loved that the chocolate cake layers were moist and the chocolate ganache had the right sweetness!
Japanese Baked Cheesecake | RM6.50
To be honest, I am no longer a Japanese Cotton Cheesecake person compared to before. I prefer flavored Japanese Cotton Cheesecake nowadays. However, the texture of this cheesecake was extremely fine and delicate.
Matcha Cheesecake | B$7.50
I preferred this Matcha Cheesecake more than Japanese Baked Cheesecake. Not saying the latter was not nice. As I mentioned previously, I preferred flavored version more than plain. LOL!
Pate a Choux | RM8
Ing ordered this when she arrived after us. This is Pate a Choux which Cake Rush is selling RM8 for three pieces. The one with green colored top crust had matcha filling while the brown colored top crust had chocolate filling. They were good!
Lemon Cheesecake | RM9.90
I was keen on trying their Fraisier again but no such luck. According to the owner, they ran out of strawberries so Fraisier is temporarily unavailable until two weeks later. Both Fruit Tart and Lemon were sold out. So, I resorted to this Lemon Cheesecake. It was good and Clara mentioned that the strawberry was sweet.
