After sending Mom home from the airport, I took a shower before heading again out to meet King for coffee at Flour & Butter Cafe. Jennifer did not join us for coffee session after dinner as she went Pokemon hunting with her boyfriend. It was near closing time when we arrived at Flour & Butter Cafe. I was craving for some coffee and cake yesterday evening. So, I insisted on going albeit it was late.
Chai Latte | B$5.50
My third cup ever since they were opened. The first time was good but the second time was so so which I did not voice out as I thought something was not right with my taste bud at the time. But this was back to how I liked it in the first place. As usual, complimentary cookies were given with coffees.
Strawberry Shortcake | B$4.50
Which I had the entire piece all by myself and felt guilty after as I kept on telling myself to watch my diet and calorie count. But I am pretty sure that the calorie count for this piece of Strawberry Shortcake paled in comparison to Durian Cheesecake.
Strawberry Shortcake is layers of sponge cakes sandwiched in between layers of fresh cream filling. There were tiny strawberry pieces in the fresh cream filling. This is good if you wanted something light and yet refreshing at the same time. I liked it that it was not overly sweet like some desserts do.
