Dad went back to Kuching for the week so it was only Mom for dinner yesterday evening. I did not feel like eating at home so I asked Mom if she wants to go out for dinner. She was okay with it but could not decide what she wanted to eat. I was actually craving for Japanese cuisine but she was not as enthusiastic as I was so we ended up having Korean cuisine instead.
So, dinner yesterday was at Sarang Korean Restaurant. My go-to Korean restaurant is Koryo Restaurant but I do not feel like having BBQ smell stained on my clothes and hair. The place was not crowded when we arrived. We tried to order in minimal but we still have leftovers.
As usual, you will be served with assorted Banchan when dining in a Korean restaurant. I think Mom preferred Banchan over the the main courses. She said eating Banchan alone could easily fill up her tummy. LOL!
Kimbap | B$6
My favorite food in a Korean restaurant is Kimbap. I liked the ones from Sarang Korean Restaurant as they were made with mostly vegetables. The preserved radish was crunchy. However, I was rather disappointed this time round as I find their rice to be overcooked. Hence, texture was a bit mushy than grainy.

Ordered this as I think Mom would like it. She always seem fascinated with Korean cuisine from the Korean drama series. However, we were both disappointed. To be honest, it did not taste authentic as I had better ones. This one was probably flavored to local taste buds. We cannot taste the black bean but mostly soy sauce?
