I took the day off to bring Mom for her fortnightly massage session at Mook & Jasmine in Kiulap. I took the time to sort out some bank errands while waiting for her to be done. It turned out that I got things sorted quicker than expected. Hence, I dropped by a kopitiam nearby for a cuppa and watched Doctors from my iPad.
Brought Mom out for lunch when she was done with massage. We headed over to Koryo Restaurant as she seems keen for Korean cuisine than Japanese. She is more of a carbs person and she enjoyed noodles a lot more than I do. Perhaps I should bring her to Kaizen Sushi Waterfront one day to try out their Tatsuta Miso Ramen. Maybe on her next massage session?
Without further ado, let me show you what we had for lunch today.
As usual, bottomless refill Banchan were served complimentary. I think Mom preferred the Banchan served at Sarang Korean Restaurant the other day.
Kimchi Pancake | B$5.00
Albeit being greasy and all, this was too good to miss. Mom loved it too but refrained herself from having too much as she feared ulcers growing around the mouth by the end of the day. We could not finish the entire thing so we brought the leftovers home for Dad.
Jja Jang Myeon | B$5.50
Chicken Dolsot Bibimbap | B$10.00
I had been craving for Bibimbap recently ever since I came back from Shanghai. Hence, I decided to order this and scooped out the portion for a small bowl. A colleague of mine mentioned that I am “growing” in diameter recently. So, it is time to watch my food intake. Mom complained that it was too spicy as I blended in all the chili paste served. Well, I found it not spicy enough for my liking. Our spiciness threshold are a big gap apart. LOL!
