Sister flew home from Shanghai yesterday evening. Mom and I went to the airport to pick her up and off we went for late dinner at Flour & Butter Cafe. Mom had her dinner at home while Sister had hers on board. I ordered myself a Fish & Chips as I am craving for something fried. However, I was rather disappointed with the quality this time round as I expected a crunchy batter like what I had previously.
Having frequented Flour & Butter Cafe multiple times since their opening, this is the first picture I had of the cafe.
Without further ado, let me show you what the three of us had …
Chai Tea Latte | B$3.80
Sister had Chai Tea Latte while I resorted to having plain water. I did not feel like having coffee at the time since I am having fried food. I love their Cranberry Cookie while Sister mentioned that the Chocolate Almond Cookie was rather dry for her liking.
Fish & Chips | B$13.50
Battered Seabass with chili crab OR salted yolk dip, served along with regular OR coffee fries and coleslaw
Having tried both dips previously, I decided to go for chili crab dip this time round as I did not like the creamy taste of the salted egg yolk dip. It is solely my own personal preference. I have friends who loved both dips. As mentioned earlier in this blog entry, I was rather disappointed with their Fish & Chips this time round.
The battered seabass was too soggy for me. So, I ended up only finishing the seabass while leaving behind half of the fried batter. Mom loved the fries but she mentioned that it was heavily seasoned with salt. The saltiness was okay for me as I dipped the fries in ketchup.

Blueberry Cheesecake | B$4.50 & Chewy Custard | B$2.80
Sister wanted to try their Salted Caramel Cheesecake but I decided to go for Blueberry Cheesecake as I feared that the former will be too sweet for my liking. Sister expected a salty cheese base and was surprised that it tasted sweet instead. To be honest, nothing much to rave about this particular Blueberry Cheesecake for me.
The three of us shared this Chewy Custard. It was pretty good. It came filled with creamy custard filling. The texture was rather different to what we expected. Sister expected a chewy filling which consisted of mochi alike filling but it turned out that it was the “body” which has a chewy texture of bread alike.
