We just came back from our Singapore holiday trip yesterday afternoon. Immigration, luggage and custom procedures were a brisk and they only took us less than 30 minutes to go through the arrival entrance from the moment the plane started to taxi at Brunei International Airport.
We met up with Jennifer for dinner as Sister will be leaving Brunei for Shanghai tomorrow morning. I had been craving for spicy Korean food since the beginning of our Singapore holiday trip. We resorted to Little Audrey’s Café as Sister is not much of a spicy food eater. And on top of that, she had never been to Little Audrey’s Café before.
Hot Tea in a Pot | B$3.50
Lemon, Ginger & Mint
Gingerbread Hot Chocolate | B$6.00
I remembered that Gingerbread Hot Chocolate being a seasonal item and was unavailable on their menu previously. It is now a regular on their menu. I was expecting a spiced Hot Chocolate but it turned out not at all spiced. It tasted chocoalate-y in my opinion and less sweet compared to their Audrey’s Hot Chocolate.
Pumpkin & Beetroot Salad | B$5.90
Sister ordered this to share as she was feeling up for beetroot for detoxing purpose. I am not sure how effective it is but I think it was more towards the dressing which intrigued her to try this out. This salad platter came with pesto yogurt dressing, which is new for us but the combination was surprisingly refreshing. We all agreed that the grilled pumpkin was good.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich | B$12.90
with sliced avocado, caramelised onions, bell peppers, cheese and honey mustard, served with seasoned fries
I had this as I am always craving for fries all the time since months ago. LOL! To be honest, I personally find that Little Audrey’s Café serves one of the best fries in town.
I requested for no cheese and the honey mustard dressing was good. It was sweet and yet tangy at the same time. I only had one third of the entire sandwich as I shared the remaining two thirds with Sister and Jennifer.
Nasi Lemak | B$5.90
Fresh Fruit Cake
This was served on the house. What I liked about this Fresh Fruit Cake was the generous portion of fresh fruits sandwiched in between the sponge layers. However, we agreed that the sponge cake was tad bit dry for our liking. Instead of the usual whipped cream frosting, I think they made their own unique blend of frosting.
