Jennifer and I met for dinner yesterday evening. She asked me out for coffee on the day before I was due to fly to Singapore. I could not make it as I had some stuffs to sort out at home before flying the next day.

I found out that Caffè Bene was opened last Friday when I was in Singapore. Caffè Bene serves mostly desserts. So, we had dinner at Magnum before heading to Caffè Bene for desserts later on. Most of the patrons who came into Magnum had ice-cream while the both of us had hot food. Hot food selection was limited as compared to their desserts but what they had were sufficient for the both of us. We had salad and finger food.

Chicken Karaage | B$8

succulent Chicken Karaage marinated with Togarashi “chicken” seasoning, aioli

Nothing much to rave about this but it was a passable dish as finger food. The aioli sauce was tad bit spicy but complimented the Chicken Karaage well enough.

Mushroom Salad | B$9

oyster mushroom tempura, served with water cress and dripped in honey mustard

Both Jennifer and I were expecting green salad with little bit of oyster mushroom tempura sprinkled on top of the salad leaves. The honey mustard dressing complimented both oyster mushroom tempura and the green salad leaves.
