31032017 / Koryo Restaurant

Too much of Korean drama series marathon was not good for me as I ended up with a huge craving for Korean cuisine especially Bibimbap. Thankfully, Seoul is yet in my holiday destination bucket list. LOL!

To be honest, I had been craving for Kimchi for quite some time but never gotten round to get my craving fixed. I intended to wait until Sunday but decided that I could not wait much longer. Told Clara and San Diann about my Korean craving and the first place which came across our minds is Koryo Restaurant. We have quite a few Korean restaurants in town but the closest to my liking is Koryo Restaurant as compared to others.

Without further ado, let me show you what we had before I call it a night. As usual, both San Diann and Clara handed me the duty of food ordering. I got ourselves both appetizers and main courses. They fed the three of us well enough.

Tuna Gimbap | B$4

Kimchi Pancake | B$5

Chicken Dolsot Bibimbap | B$10

I was extremely craving for a spicy version of Bibimbap having watched Strong Woman Do Bong Soon recently. The chili paste given was too little and I requested for another portion before it reached this color. Despite two portions of chili paste was thrown into to mix this Bibimbap, it was not as spicy as I anticipated it to be. I think this Bibimbap would taste even nicer with more Kimchi in it (my personal preference).

Soon Du Bu Stew | B$12

We ordered Soon Du Bu Stew as Kimchi Stew may seem a bit too hot for the three of us and I am not at all a fan of Kimchi Stew. Tried a few versions of it previously and I did not really like it. Soon Du Bu Stew is a seafood stew with Japanese tofu in it. It was pretty good and not as spicy as Kimchi Stew. If you prefer spicy soup, go for Kimchi Stew.
