It was my first day off yesterday after having worked for the past two weeks. Mom requested me to bring her to Mook & Jasmine for her scheduled massage session and I obliged. So, I invited my colleagues out for breakfast in the morning but they both were unable to make it in the end. So, it was only Mom and I. We had our breakfast at Oldtime Kopitiam since I am running out of idea of where to go for breakfast.
The place was not as crowded as compared to when I last went there. I think it was due to Hari Raya and majority population were still out house visiting. The place was only half packed at the time when we arrived. Mom was not keen of having Dim Sum so we both ordered ourselves noodles for breakfast.
Kolo Mee Minced Chicken with Fish Cake | B$2.50
I wanted to let Mom try their signature Braised Chicken Kolo Mee but I could not find it anywhere on the menu. So, she made do with the ordinary one. Taste wise, it was okay but some of the noodles were unevenly cooked which resulted them to be in clump form.
Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw | B$5.00
I had this which I did not finish all as it was slightly spicy. Despite spicy, it was still addictive. I requested for no bean sprout as I hate bean sprout with noodles. The noodles came with quite generous amount of clam flesh. All in all, it was a decent plate of Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw.
