04072017 / Koryo Restaurant

I had been craving for Kolo Mee recently. LOL! Dad went back to Kuching for holiday so it was only Mom and I at home at the moment. So, I told her not to prepare dinner and we would just head out for dinner.

Despite craving for Kolo Mee, we did not had any of it for dinner yesterday evening but had Korean instead as Mom wanted to eat Jajangmyeon (Korean Black Bean Sauce Noodle). So, we went to Koryo Restaurant as it is my go to Korean restaurant for Korean cuisine.

The restaurant was pretty much deserted apart from a table of customers at the time we arrived but slowly started to fill in with more customers later on.

Citron Tea | B$4

Tuna Gimbap | B$4

Kimchi Pancake | B$5

Had both of my Koryo Restaurant’s all time favorites – Tuna Gimbap and Kimchi Pancake. However, the edges of Kimchi Pancake were not as crunchy as I remembered anymore. But all in all, it was still good and paired extremely well with white rice.

Yang Yum Tong Dak | B$5

You must be wondering why is there no Jajangmyeon when the purpose of going Korean was for it? Reason being, they ran out of it so Mom made do with Yang Yum Tong Dak and it came with a portion of rice. The chicken were diced, deep fried and later coated with Korean sweet spicy sauce. As chicken breast part was used, the diced chicken were pretty tough.
