30062017 / Yugo Dessert Cafe

As much as I love traveling, it was indeed surprising that I did not feel the excitement this time round. Not even when the date is around the corner. LOL! Perhaps it is due to the fact that this would be my third visit to Singapore in within half a year. And I have already received several requests to get or bring back stuffs from Singapore. Hopefully, my luggage would not exceed the weight allowance.

Andrea and I would be meeting on the first night for dinner at a Harry Potter themed cafe – Platform 1094. It never came across my mind until Andrea asked how keen I was with Harry Potter. I do not mind a Harry Potter themed cafe since we do not get much of theme cafes here in Brunei. So, Platform 1094 would definitely be something new for me. Dinner with the group would be on the next day at Aloha Poke.

Anyways, let’s get rolling with what I intended to blog about today. The four of us – Jia, Eldie, Lucas and I went over to Yugo Dessert Cafe for some desserts after dinner at infinitea X I Say Yatta! Both Jia and I had been to Yugo Dessert Cafe before but not Eldie. So, we decided to go so that Eldie could try.

Mango Ice Flakes | B$3.80

I could not remember the exact pricing of this dessert as I could no longer find the receipt in my wallet. However, it was definitely not as steeply priced as before when they were just established. I did not like much of their Mango Ice Flakes as I find the mango syrup too artificial and the diced mangoes were rather sour for my liking.

Bread Cubes with Kaya | B$4.00

I ordered this to share so that Lucas can have some too but the boy only had a couple of pieces before stopping. The bread cubes were buttered, toasted and dusted with some icing sugar. Apart from Kaya, there was peanut butter too.

This was my first ever decent picture with Lucas since he was born. The ones that I had with him before was usually blurred as he is always on the move. The trick to this picture was to hold him tight on the arm and let him see himself on my flip side camera screen. LOL! Mission accomplished. Hahaha …
