10092017 / Kaizen Sushi Waterfront

It rained the entire yesterday evening until early this morning. The weather had been cooling that it felt chilly when staying indoor. When it was blazing hot outside, we complain and it goes the same when it was chilly. LOL!

Despite Mom was back from Kuching, I woke time on time this morning to fry some chicken drumsticks with the Mayer airFryer. I taught Mom how to use the Mayer airFryer so that she can use it to airfry fishes. The chicken drumsticks were cooked alright with the airFryer but the seasoning wasn’t that nice air fried as compared to deep oil fried. Perhaps I should alter a bit of the seasoning and come up with my own version next time?

I had found another recipe for Airfried Buttermilk Crispy Chicken recently. I had seen recipes for Buttermilk Crispy Chicken before but never thought of attempting it. However, I am thinking of getting a small pack of buttermilk from Supa Save to attempt the recipe. I thought of attempting Airfried Roast Pork/Sio Bak by Budgetpantry. However, the latter will wait until I got hold of the right cut of meat and cooking wine as well.

Jennifer and I arranged to meet for a quick lunch last Sunday afternoon after she finishes work but she got caught up with some last minute work. So, we cancelled the lunch arrangement on short notice. I had already left home at the time when she called me up so I thought I would just have lunch on my own.

I had lunch at Kaizen Sushi Waterfront as my plan of the day apart from lunch date with Jennifer was to get manicure, pedicure and eyebrow threading at my usual salon spot.

Tori Katsu Curry Udon (Soba) | B$10.80

I was craving for a piping hot Japanese curry. Instead of having udon, I opted for soba as I liked it better than udon. The curry broth can be a comfort food on a cold rainy day.

(It will be the first two picture)
I heard the second one which is the salmon thingy are seriously delicious so me and my friends decided to try it out. And it turned out to be very delicious. my friend describe the it as “Must try”

    • Japanese Curry is not supposed to be spicy but sweet (I think). At least for Brunei’s standard. The ones I had in Tokyo weren’t spicy either. Japanese Curry sauce is cooked with apple chunks for the sweetness.

I will definitely try out the second salmon thingy which you recommended the next time I go Kaizen Sushi.
