15102017 / Jazz Bar & Grill

San Diann, Chee Fun, Shew Hiang and I met for dinner this evening. Clara didn’t join us tonight as she is in Labuan for the week and will only return next weekend. We decided on Senja Restaurant earlier on but there was a change in between without me realizing despite it was clearly stated in our group chat. Not sure what was going on my mind at the time. LOL!

I have the habit of checking Whatsapp upon arriving at the venue restaurant on every gathering. It came as a surprise to find that I was the first to arrive when I remembered seeing San Diann’s car overtaking mine on the highway. It turned out that I turned up at wrong venue. I was at Senja Restaurant when both San Diann and Shew Hiang were at Jazz Bar & Grill waiting.

Left Senja Restaurant immediately and apologized to the staff that I got the location wrong. Thankfully, both Senja Restaurant and Jazz Bar & Grill are not located far from each other so I managed to reach the right destination in within a short time.

Without further ado, let’s get started with the food pictures …

Mixed Berries Mojito | B$5.50

Orange & Carrot Juice | B$5

I wanted to drink something healthy so I opted for their juice. Orange & Carrot Juice wasn’t in their menu but it is available upon request. They charge additional fifty cents if you don’t want ice in your juice. This is seriously a lot better than the last Orange & Carrot Juice which I had from another cafe.

Grass Fed Australian Ribeye Steak (180gm) | B$20

mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, garden vegetables

Grilled Salmon Fillet | B$26

parsley cream sauce, garden vegetables, mashed potatoes, grilled prawns

Pot Roast Lamb Shank | B$22

rosemary & cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, garden vegetables

Grilled Salmon Fillet | B$22

light lemon butter, garden vegetables, fries

Another fellow local food blogger highly recommended me their Grilled Salmon Fillet and I went for it. But unfortunately, I got the sauce wrong. It should had been spinach cream sauce but I got light lemon butter instead. The salmon fillet was nicely done with little bit of juice oozing out when cut through. The light lemon butter sauce added flavor to the salmon fillet.

All main courses came with two sides – garden vegetables or coleslaw and mashed potatoes or fries. I went for their garden vegetables and fries. The fries were better than I remembered. The rest of them had mashed potatoes. I quite like mashed potato but it can be sickening when having too much.
