30102017 / 丰满楼

As mentioned in my previous blog entry, today is first day off in two weeks time. I brought Mom with me for breakfast while Dad stayed home as he is a vegan for today due to some personal reason. I had been craving for dim sum for quite some time. I don’t usually go 丰满楼 for breakfast on Sunday as majority of the road access in town are blocked for Bandarku Ceria.

Without further ado, let me show you what Mom and I had for two. We ended up not able to finish some of our food and had them as takeaways.

Steamed Rice Rolls with Char Siu 叉烧猪肠粉

Deep Fried Spring Rolls 春卷

紫菜卷 / 鲜竹卷 / 凤爪

Stir Fried Turnip Cake 炒萝卜糕

As Mom is not a spicy eater, she requested this to be cooked without the sambal paste. It was rather bland for me as I preferred Stir Fried Turnip Cake to be with a little bit of spiciness for the extra kick.

Custard Bun 流沙包

A close shot view of the flowing custard filling inside the bun. Best eaten when served hot as the custard filling would “solidifies” when cooled down.
