As it was fifteenth day of lunar month yesterday, most of the vegetarian restaurants in town are packed with patrons. My first intention was to go Tien Sing Restaurant but the place was fully booked out. So, I left and drove to Kiulap. I had dinner at Pureland Vegetarian House instead. I don’t frequent Pureland Vegetarian House as much as Tien Sing Restaurant. My colleague highly recommended the former though.
Like Tien Sing Restaurant, Pureland Vegetarian House was also packed with patrons yesterday evening but I managed to secure a table for four by the corner. Food took a short while to serve after placing order due to the heavy crowd in the restaurant. I had been craving for Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw for quite some time and I finally got what I wished for.
Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw | B$3.50
Non-vegetarian version of Penang Fried Kueh Tiaw has an almost scrambled egg atop the noodles with clams tossed in the noodles. However, I requested mine to be without egg and bean sprout. They served with mock meat which I don’t think they were mock clam. Taste wise, it was pretty close to the real deal but I prefer it spicier.
