After our lunch session at Sweet Nonya Delights Cafe last Sunday, Jennifer and I headed to Flour & Butter Cafe for a second round. I wanted to send my car for a shower at the car wash garage located within walking distance from the cafe. However, the person in-charge told me that they were facing power outage and couldn’t me render the service. So, I drove away with an unwashed dirty car. LOL!
We arrived with only a table or two occupied which was kind of rare for a Sunday afternoon but the place started to fill up by 3PM. I had been having headache since the day before after coming back from Miri. So, I ordered an iced chocolate drink as chocolate can cure headache sometimes but subjective to individual’s body condition at the time. It didn’t work for me that day and I resorted to an Ibuprofen in the end. I’m trying minimizing painkiller consumption but the pain was a bit unbearable at the time.
Iced Dark Chocolate | B$5.90
I opted for soy milk instead of regular milk. I like that it’s not sweet and the soy milk didn’t empower the chocolate. I had been cafes whereby their soy milk empowered the taste of their drinks. The mixture of both soy milk and dark chocolate are well balanced.
Tuna Croissant | B$5.90
As Jennifer felt full of her Mee Rebus from lunch, we decided to go for light bites since their choices of cakes available didn’t entice me. I would have gone for their Carrot Cake if it was available at the time. We both agreed that their Tuna Croissant was good. The croissant was fragrant and buttery. There were red onions in the tuna filling. If you aren’t a fan of tuna, you could always go for Egg Croissant.
