We are already on the last month of the year. 2017 seems to pass by rather quickly. Anyways, I will be going Miri for an overnight trip next weekend as Andrea is back for holiday until Chinese New Year. We made plans to meet up and have dinner with Alan and his wife Emie in the evening. I’ll also take the opportunity to dress shopping for Jennifer’s wedding next month.
I woke up early this morning due to stomach upset and decided to just stay awake until it’s time for breakfast and head out for the day. I had the day planned out for manicure, pedicure, eyebrow threading, lunch and coffee break. LOL! Headed out from home at 9:15AM but accidentally took the wrong exit at the roundabout and I ended up having to make a detour as there was road block in the morning due to Bandarku Ceria.
It took me almost an hour to reach my intended destination. The manicurist at Mook & Jasmine so happened to be on her half day off today and only available after lunch. So, I decided to drive into Gadong for some Gong Cha as my period cramp was giving me discomfort. I felt a lot better after downing a cup of hot Ginger Milk Tea.
Ginger Milk Tea | B$3
This is my go-to comfort drink when I’m having period cramp (provided I have access to it). If not, a cup of steaming hot water will do. I personally find the ginger syrup wasn’t strong enough for my liking. It managed to soothe my period cramp for a while before the discomfort starts coming back again.
There wasn’t much to do or see in Gadong so I left for Bandar so that I can get my manicure, pedicure and eyebrow threading done. Most of the roads are opened after 10:30AM but it subjects to where you are coming from. After getting the above-mentioned done, I headed for lunch at Kaizen Sushi Waterfront as I am craving for a steaming hot Japanese Curry Rice.
Tori Katsu Curry Rice | B$9
Finally had my Tori Katsu Curry Rice for lunch today. I had Agedori Spicy Don the other day despite craving for Japanese Curry Rice. LOL! The curry broth is watery and paired so well with the short grain rice. The curry broth came with pieces of big onion and some sliced carrots. Chicken cutlets were juicy and crunchy from the breadcrumb batter. The Tori Katsu Curry Rice was good but I think I had better.
