19122017 / Little Audrey’s Café

Andrea was in town yesterday and she stayed the night at my place. We went for dinner together and it was pouring heavily at the time when we were leaving from my workplace. The rain gradually slowed down as we were reaching Little Audrey’s Café. The cafe wasn’t so pack due to the weather but more patrons started coming in when the weather started to get better.

I had been to Little Audrey’s Café quite a number of times since their opening and I had pretty much tried out most of the food which I wanted to. So, I settled for something I am familiar with for dinner and it was Nasi Lemak Ayam. Prior to reaching Little Audrey’s Café, I asked if Andrea likes creamy mushroom soup and she does.

Wild Mushroom Soup | B$5.90

with garlic bread

The first time I tried their Wild Mushroom Soup, it was shared with Jennifer. I didn’t write about it at the time as I didn’t have my camera with me. Consistency wise, it was thick and creamy. The mushrooms were pureed to a fine texture. Taste wise, it was good but tad bit salty. The soup was served with their homemade warm garlic bread and it paired well with the soup.

The Bunless Burger | B$14.90

homemade beef patty topped with melted cheese, caramelized onion, jalapenos, and a sunny side up egg, served with mashed avocado, fresh greens, sour cream and homemade fresh tomato salsa

Andrea had this as the dish comes bunless. She has been on a low-carbs diet so this seems to be the perfect fit for dinner aside from salads. It has the greens that she needs for the day and the good carbs from the beef patty. Portion wise, it was big. By the end of the meal, she was stuffed. LOL!

Nasi Lemak Ayam | B$5.90

When I first tried their Nasi Lemak Ayam, I got to choose the spicy level for the sambal paste but it was no longer available. The sunny side up was nicely done with a gooey yolk that I like. Sambal paste wasn’t as spicy as it used to be but still addictive. The fried anchovies were salty though.

Andrea complimented the good customer service at Little Audrey’s Café. Having lived in Singapore for a good few years, she got accustomed to the good customer service. She has moved back to Miri recently and complained that customer service can be quite shitty despite we are paying service charge on top of our bill. Honestly speaking, customer service here in Brunei is definitely better.
