After lunch at Geo Eats, the three of us window shopped at Pertama Department Store located across the main street from Geo Eats. I think we stayed for about half an hour before deciding to go Roasted Sip. The cafe was packed but majority of the patrons came for takeaways and we managed to secure a table for four nearby to the Cashier counter.
I don’t frequent Roasted Sip often as it is located quite a distance from my home. As a matter of fact, this was my second visit since opening. However, Roasted Sip has opened a second branch on the 6th floor of RBA Plaza. However, please do take note that Roasted Sip is operating as a takeaway counter for those who are not working in the building.
Without further ado, let me show you what we had yesterday!
Iced Flat White | B$5.50
Toffee Latte | B$5.50
Spiced Chai Latte | B$5.50
I had wanted to try their Matcha Latte in the first place but decided to order Spiced Chai Latte instead when I found out it was available in store. The Cashier asked if I would like soy milk to go with my Spiced Chai Latte. For your information, you can have soy milk in your coffee free of charge. Some cafes charge additional 50 to 70 cents for soy milk in replacement for regular milk.
I personally think that the Spiced Chai Latte would be nicer if the flavor was stronger. The taste of soy milk was somewhat strong that it empowered the taste of the Spiced Chai. They had dusted some ground cinnamon powder too on top of the coffee art.
Hokkaido Tart | B$5.00
soft layered cake with white cream cheese icing
When we asked suggestions for desserts, the Cashier recommended us their Hokkaido Tart, Latte Tarte and Red Velvet Cake. We decided to go for their Hokkaido Tart and Latte Tarte. The Hokkaido Tart was more on the sweet side, topped with some shaved white chocolate and dusted with minimal icing sugar.
Latte Tarte | B$5.00
rich and intense with chocolate and coffee flavor
We had Latte Tarte as well and we all agreed that it was better than Hokkaido Tart. We were not saying that their Hokkaido Tart wasn’t good but the flavor from Latte Tarte suited us more. The coffee flavor from Latte Tarte was extremely strong.
Like the Hokkaido Tart, Latte Tarte was topped with shaved dark chocolate and dusted with minimal icing sugar. The crusts for both tarts were the same, it was buttery but I think it would be nicer if it has a more crunchier texture.
