Review: Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

Sister is coming home tonight for a short weekend trip as it is Good Friday tomorrow in Singapore. She is taking the last flight out from Singapore to Brunei. I bought some Philippines Dole Banana from Supa Save, Mata-Mata the other day. They had fully ripen with dark spots on the skin.

I intended to bake some Gluten Free Banana Bread but I don’t have the required GF All-Purpose Flour in hand. Anyways, let’s not talk about baking anymore but get on moving with what I intended to blog for the day – Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water.

Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

The said product was newly launched when I accompanied Sister to Singapore on a accommodation hunting trip July last year. I bought a full size bottle from Singapore and I bought this travel size bottle before my Bangkok trip last month. Full size bottle houses 400ml while travel size bottle houses 125ml. The difference between this cleansing water and the regular ones from Garnier is that the former is Argan Oil infused.

I don’t wear make-up on regular basis. I’m more of a skincare person than make-up person and I always make sure that I would only leave the house with sunscreen applied on my face. Despite sunscreen is not considered as a makeup product but it is quite heavy in texture which could result in clogged pores if it’s not properly removed by the end of the day. And therefore, I would incorporate double cleansing as part of my night skincare routine.

The product claimed to be powerful and gentle on the skin at removing make-up, even with the waterproof ones. This is the first time which Garnier combined their Micellar Technology with Argan Oil. What I love about this cleansing water on first impression was the pleasant scent of Argan Oil. It smelled floral in my opinion despite that Argan Oil is supposed to smell almost like nutty?

Before you use the product, shake well so that the micellar water combines well with the Argan Oil. Pour about a 50 cents dose on a piece of cotton pad and gently wipe it all over the face to remove dirt and residue off the skin. As the micellar water was Argan Oil infused, it leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. However, it is best to incorporate double cleansing into your night skincare routine to ensure that all dirt and residue are fully removed.

As I don’t wear heavy make-up, I couldn’t fully vouch the effectiveness of the said product with waterproof make-up. However, I did come across some online reviews claiming that this cleansing water works well with waterproof make-up. I like that the cleansing oil leaves my skin feeling soft and clean after. It doesn’t strip the skin moisture. Despite that the product was oil-infused, it didn’t leave a greasy layer on the skin. Best of all, I don’t suffer from skin breakouts.

So, here’s what I think of Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water in a nutshell:

Pros:
1. Argan Oil infused.
2. Smells pleasant of floral.
3. Doesn’t leave a greasy layer on the skin.
4. Leaves skin feeling soft, clean and moisturized.
5. Doesn’t strip skin moisture.
6. No skin breakouts.

Cons:
1. Those who are sensitive to fragrance may not like this scented cleansing water.
