Such a lengthy name for a cafe I would say. Anyways, Jennifer and I tried out the said cafe this afternoon for lunch. San Diann intended to try this cafe last Sunday but I find it too girly for a guy to handle despite that he doesn’t mind for the sake of his Instagram profile. Even CY declined the offer when Jennifer invited.
The cafe wasn’t extremely packed at the time I walked in. There was a table by the photography wall but the table was kind of small for two and the only bigger table vacant at the time was the table with the carriage. Despite being slightly awkward sitting there all alone waiting for Jennifer to arrive, the spot has a good light in my opinion. LOL!
Without further ado, let’s get started with today’s business rollin’! I just realized that I didn’t have the picture of the table with the carriage. I guess that table is considered as one of the main highlights of the cafe.
This is the menu booklet, nicely pimped with bling bling accessories. I wondered if the cafe owner stick the diamond studs piece by piece onto the book. To be honest, I find the menu option wasn’t extensive in my opinion but we managed to get ourselves something to eat from the pasta section.
Charmerize I’m Here For You Boutique Cafe is doing a promotion for a limited period of time until this coming 15 May whereby you’ll get a free Iced Americano or Iced Latte when ordering their selected pasta dishes. If you are not into coffee, you could always top up an additional B$2.50 for soup of the day and apple/orange juice.
Iced Latte
Spaghetti with Chicken Bolognese
Jennifer ordered Spaghetti with Chicken Bolognese and opted Iced Latte for the free drink. The Iced Latte tasted rather milky for her liking. The pasta was quite a disappointment in my opinion. The pasta was rather under cooked for me but it was solely subjective to personal preference. The pasta sauce was quite lacking of flavor as well.
Apple Juice
Cream of Broccoli, Cheese & Potato Soup
I was quite impressed with their Cream of Broccoli, Cheese & Potato Soup. It was smooth in my opinion but Jennifer claimed that it was strongly flavored. The original price for Cream of Broccoli, Cheese & Potato Soup is B$6.00 and it comes with garlic bread.
Fusilli with Chicken, Mushroom & Basil Pesto
The fusilli was done alright in my opinion but the chicken was rather dry though. Flavoring wise, it was well done. Instead of button mushroom, they made do with shiitake mushroom. However, I find that some parts of the Fusilli were rather charred.
Verdict: The decoration of the cafe was girly in my opinion. They do have a great photography wall with Cony and Brown from LINE as props. As the tables available were limited when I walked in, I was seated at the table with the wedding carriage design. It seemed odd at first but I made do with the good lighting. I would avoid if I could as I had to shift sideways for the staff when they were serving the food.
The food were hit and miss in my opinion. Some of the food like the soup and pastas were prepared beforehand and reheated upon ordering. Hence, they weren’t freshly made on the spot. Customer service was good in my opinion. Aside from having meal there, you could also browse through the clothing, first class designer bags and cosmetics items sold in the cafe.
