Breakfast this morning was at MyTown Eating House as I needed to collect some steamed buns around the area. I seldom go for breakfast in the area unless necessary as it is quite a distance from my house. I arrived MyTown Eating House 10 minutes to 9AM and managed to have about half an hour of eating time before I was due to collect the steamed buns.
One of the highlights of MyTown Eating House is that they serve freshly baked homemade buns several times in a day but the pricing was rather steep as compared to the local bakeries. Without further ado, let me show you what I had for breakfast this morning! I intended to try out one of their newly launched menus but it wasn’t available until 9:30AM.
India Coffee Tarik | B$1.60
I had their India Coffee Tarik and it was pretty decent in my opinion. I had requested for less sugar and it was still too sweet for my liking. Perhaps I should have requested for less condensed milk instead. However, I do think that the coffee wasn’t pulled enough to achieve the bubbly top like what we get from our local Indian coffee shops.
Kulai Fried Mee Hoon (Chicken) | B$4.90
MyTown Hokkien Mee Kahwin was my first choice in the beginning but was being told that it would only be available from 9:30AM onwards. So, I got Kulai Fried Mee Hoon instead and requested for no beansprout in my noodle. I liked the texture of my Mee Hoon but I think it lacked the charred or “wok hei” in Chinese. In overall, it was good enough if you want a light breakfast.
