I returned to the clinic again yesterday morning for a new prescription as the flu medication didn’t seem to work on me. It gave me extreme drowsiness and I was unable to concentrate at work without feeling sleepy. So, I went back to the doctor and she prescribed me Clarinase to be taken during the day while I could take my previous Fedac at night before sleep.
Lunch was at Piccolo Cafe in town yesterday afternoon after I was done with my manicure and pedicure session. I wanted to drive out for lunch but I didn’t have any place in mind. So, I settled with Piccolo Cafe since it was just in within walking distance. I didn’t order any beverage as I just had Hot Double Choco from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL).
Forest Mushroom Pasta | B$11.90
all-time favorite among mushroom lovers, slightly spicy
As I have yet fully recovered from sore throat, I decided to play safe and requested my Forest Mushroom Pasta to be non-spicy. This pasta dish can be served both ways – dry or wet and I chose the former. I didn’t expect this pasta dish to come out so creamy or else I would have requested for less cream as well.
The pasta was well done in my opinion and it was topped with a generous portion of varieties of mushrooms. It is indeed a favorite for mushroom lovers. However, I do have to agree that this pasta dish would have tasted better with slight spiciness in it. I do not mind returning to try this again but with added spiciness.
Soup of the Day
All of their pasta dishes were served with Soup of the Day. I can’t be sure what was the Soup of the Day for yesterday but I remembered hearing the staff saying something close to mushroom? The consistency of the soup wasn’t very thick in my opinion. But whatever ingredients inside the soup, they were blended pretty smooth. However, the soup was tad salty for my liking.
