As it was the first day of lunar calendar month yesterday, I was a full vegetarian for the whole day. When it comes to vegetarian restaurants, the choices are pretty limited in my opinion. We only had three vegetarian restaurants at the moment. One had closed down last year despite that it hadn’t operate for long before it ceased operation for good.
It had been a while since I last dined at Tien Sing Restaurant aside from the occasional takeaway twice in a month. I had been going to Pureland Vegetarian House previously as it was more convenient location wise for grocery shopping after dinner.
Since I don’t have anything to do after dinner, I decided to go Tien Sing Restaurant for dinner this time round. I even thought of heading to Flour & Butter Cafe after dinner if my tummy could still accommodate dessert. I forfeited the idea and headed straight home after dinner.
Butter Abalone Mushroom with Rice | B$6.00
I was craving for something made out of deep fried egg stripes and decided to go for their Butter Abalone Mushroom with Rice. The portion was surprisingly a lot bigger than what I expected.
When the server was carrying this plate to my table, I was wondering if she had gotten my order wrongly because the Butter Abalone Mushroom towered the rice! My picture may not justify the overly generous portion. But trust me, the portion was really huge.
Taste wise, it was good in my opinion but I don’t think I would be going back for the Butter Abalone Mushroom. I’m not saying that it was bad but I am just not used to having so much greasy food in one plate. I would definitely go for their Sweet & Sour Abalone Mushroom when craving for deep fried Abalone Mushroom.
