18052018 / Flour & Butter Cafe

I had dinner on my own tonight since I had told Mom that I wouldn’t be having dinner at home few days ago. Prior to dinner, I had considered if I should return to THANN Sanctuary Spa tonight for a session as my back and shoulder didn’t seem to get any better. And obviously, I didn’t as I ended up at Flour & Butter Cafe for dinner instead. LOL!

It’s not that I don’t care my health well-being over food but I found another therapist who could help me deal with the aches despite I know how painful they would be on the following days after the session. I remembered that my body was aching all over for almost a week after my last session. I would normally avoid returning to the therapist unless it is really necessary.

Without further ado, let me show you what I had for dinner tonight!

Green Tea Latte | B$5.50

It was Green Tea Latte instead of the usual Chai Tea Latte or Dark Chocolate. As I mentioned before, I liked their Iced Green Tea Latte better. I am not saying that the hot one wasn’t good but I can taste the green tea better iced.

Teriyaki Chicken Baguette | B$8.00

almost like a burger but pan-fried chicken sandwiched between a baguette, served with salad & dressing of your choice

I contemplated between their Nasi Lemak Burger and Teriyaki Chicken Baguette. I settled with the latter since I had their Nasi Lemak Burger on their debut launch last year. I was shocked at the portion when this was being served to me.

The portion could easily feed two just fine! The salad were fresh and crisp, topped with some corn kernels and onions. Flour & Butter Cafe offers two dressings to choose from – Balsamic Vinegar and Sesame. I opted for the latter.

Look at how packed the fillings were! I liked the texture of the baguette which some might deemed it as tough though. It was crusty on the outside with a chewy texture on the inside. The baguette was served warm, buttered and toasted.

The Teriyaki Chicken was made out of boneless chicken thigh. The meat were juicy and succulent. They were marinated well in and out but tad salty to eat on their own. As the sandwich was “huge” in size, I had to eat them separately. The serving time took slightly longer as everything were prepared to order. I showed San Diann the pictures of my Teriyaki Chicken Baguette and he too claimed that the portion was overly huge.

To be honest, I was expecting a full house at the cafe tonight with the Eat All You Can deal during fasting month but I was wrong. For your information, Flour & Butter Cafe is doing Ramadhan Sungkai Buffet Eat All You Can for B$23.90 per pax and B$2.00 for a drink.
