诚式手工包, Miri

On my last trip to Miri, a colleague of mine asked if I could drop by 诚式手工包 for some of their Pau(s). I told Mom about it and asked her to bring an airtight container if she wants to buy some Pau(s).

Therefore, our first stop in Miri was 诚式手工包 for their Pau(s). 诚式手工包 is extremely famous among locals for their soft Pau(s). There was a short queue at the time we arrived but it moved on extremely quick.

诚式手工包 is located on the same block as GK Supermarket and Southern Cake Shop across Pujut roundabout. You will definitely drive past GK Supermarket on the way from checkpoint into the town centre for as long as you use the main road instead of the village road that cuts into the city via bus terminal station.

Trays of soft and fluffy Pau(s) being steamed inside the multi-tiered steamer. 诚式手工包 offers few different fillings to choose from and my personal favorite is their Butter Pau as compared to the others. My second favorite would be their Vege Meat Pau but Mom didn’t like it as it was too strong of white pepper powder for her liking.

Here’s a picture of the price of their Pau(s) for your reference. One of their bestselling is their Char Siew Pau. My colleagues love them but I find them rather too sweet for my liking.

This was only partial of our loots that day. We purchased about 55 Pau(s) in total. If you love regular Butter Bun from local bakeries, I would highly recommend the Butter Pau from 诚式手工包.

This was how the filling of the Butter Pau looked like when it had been steamed. Some may find the buttery filling gross especially when it was still piping hot. However, I would suggest leaving it until it turns warm before eating. That way, the filling would have slightly solidified instead of staying liquidy.

UPDATE

So, this was how the filling of Char Siew Pau looked like on the inside. I didn’t like their Char Siew Pau as much as I did with Butter Pau because I find the filling tad sweet for my liking. However, the filling ain’t that sweet this time round. So, it was good.

    • Hi Conie!

I don’t have their contact number as they always have plenty of stocks everytime I go there. So, never thought about getting their contact number to book in advance.
