05062018 / Flour & Butter Cafe

After dinner at Padi Mas Restaurant, San Diann and I went for coffees and cakes at Flour & Butter Cafe as the location was of convenience to the both of us. The cafe was about half full when we walked in but slowly started to fill with more patrons coming in for coffees and desserts after dinner.

In conjunction of Ramadhan period, Flour & Butter Cafe is offering Eat All You Can deal for B$23.90 per pax and an additional B$2.00 per drink ordered. The last time I went Flour & Butter Cafe, I didn’t go for their Eat All You Can deal but ala carte. Jennifer and I had tried it out last year. Without further ado, let me show you what we had for coffees and cakes yesterday evening.

Dark Chocolate | B$5.00

San Diann requested for soy milk for his Dark Chocolate at an additional cost of 50 cents. He contemplated between getting a hot one or iced. He settled with a hot one in the end. All in all, he liked his Dark Chocolate and was happy that the soy milk paired well with the chocolate.

Iced Chai Tea Latte | B$4.00

I was craving for iced drink yesterday. I considered getting Iced Dark Chocolate but got Iced Chai Tea Latte instead. I had requested for lesser ice cubes and more Chai in my drink but the Chai still wasn’t strong enough. I am fond of their Iced Matcha Tea Latte. The last time I had it, it was good. I personally preferred their Iced Matcha Latte over Hot Matcha Latte.

Lemon Lychee Cake | B$5.90

When we were choosing the cakes from the display counter, the choices available was rather limited for me as I had tried all of the cakes on display. Even the staff who attended to us yesterday also commented the same thing. LOL!

San Diann who had never tried their Lemon Lychee Cake ordered one to share and sung praises. The sponge layers were extremely soft and fluffy. They tasted distinctive of lemon which was very light and refreshing in my opinion.

Red Velvet Cake | B$5.90

I had been craving for Carrot Cake since last week but Flour & Butter Cafe wasn’t serving it yesterday. They were having Lemon Lychee Cake, Peanut Butter Black Forest Cake, Nutella Crepe, Red Velvet Cake and Chocolate Superior.

I ordered Red Velvet Cake as I quite liked it when I tried it for the first time despite I found it tad dry for my liking. It was however very nice this time round. The Red Velvet sponge layers tasted distinctive of chocolate and they were moist. The cream cheese frosting were thinly sandwiched in between the Red Velvet sponges. San Diann commented that most of the Red Velvet Cake/Cupcakes which he had tried previously failed in terms of texture but this one was good.
