Kaylie and I met up for dinner yesterday evening. It had been a while since we last met. The last time we met was at Danes Cafe on Christmas Eve morning. She asked if I had any place in mind for dinner. My first suggestion was Little Audrey’s Café as there was something which I would love to try but she didn’t sound keen of the idea. So, I suggested Little Soho instead since there are numerous eateries at Little Soho.
Kaylie was okay with Little Soho as they have Flavor Food Hub located on the first floor of the building. We met at the food court and I waited until she placed her order for dinner before I proceeded with mine at J.Nom. For your information, Brukori is close on every Friday.
Prawn Cake | B$4.00
Prawn Cake is one of the anticipated dishes which I wanted to try from J.Nom. Kaylie wasn’t keen of seafood so I had them all to myself and packed three pieces home for Mom. I had a huge ulcer growing in my mouth. Despite so, I still ordered deep fried food.
To be honest, I was rather disappointed with their Prawn Cake. I was expecting the filling to be completely made with prawn but they were more like fish cake stuffed with some tiny prawns. The dipping sauce at the side was good though.
Glass Noodle Pad Thai | B$4.50
Instead of serving with the regular thin flat rice vermicelli that we usually get when having Pad Thai. J.Nom served their Pad Thai with a twist by using glass noodle. It was quite good honestly. I requested for no bean sprout in my noodle. Flavoring wise, it was done nicely and Mom commented that it tasted fishy to her. I think it could be the fish sauce.
