It had been a month since I last been to Flour & Butter Cafe. I usually visit the said cafe like twice in a month to fulfill my craving for Chai Tea Latte or Carrot Cake. LOL! As I was craving for some sweets after dinner at Pureland Vegetarian House, San Diann and I headed to Flour & Butter Cafe. There was something new from the cafe which I was intrigued to try.
If you had been following my Instagram account, I am pretty sure you would have known what it was. And yes, it was their Iced Green Tea Latte with an added shot of espresso! I don’t usually order coffee beverage but the combination intrigued me.
Without further ado, let me show you how does the Iced Green Tea Latte with an added shot of espresso looked like (for those who had not seen it on my Instagram). LOL!
Iced Green Tea Latte with Espresso | B$5.90 + B$1.50
For your information, this is not something which they had printed on their menu but it is available upon request. According to the staff, this has been one of the highly requested drinks ever since they posted it on their Instagram and I can see why it was so well received.
First of all, it was not as sweet as their regular Green Tea Latte. As you can see in the above picture, it came in three layers – matcha, milk and espresso. Do give it a thorough stirring before you take the first sip. It was Matcha at first and followed by the coffee taste lingering in your mouth. This is definitely well suited for Matcha and coffee fans out there whereby you get two of your favourite things in one!
Green Tea Latte with Espresso | B$5.50 + B$1.50
San Diann was tempted to try their latest creation too but in hot. The staff informed him that they have yet formulated the beverage in hot. He was brave enough to go ahead and he got his wish granted.
Unfortunately, he was unable to taste the coffee in his Green Tea Latte despite the same amount of espresso shot poured in. He had been warned beforehand so no regret. LOL! His hot drink was served with a piece of Cranberry Oatmeal and Chocolate Cookie.
Tiramisu Crepe Cake | B$4.90
There weren’t much cakes available that night and the only cake among them which I have yet tried was this Tiramisu Crepe Cake. I loved the distinctive coffee flavored cream fillings sandwiched in between the crepes’ layers. The crepe layers weren’t very thin but ain’t thick either. Despite I loved the coffee flavored cream filling, I find it rather too heavy for me. If you love coffee, do give their Tiramisu Crepe Cake a try.
I am hoping that I get to try their Green Tea Crepe Cake next time. I had it years ago when they had just introduced it into their cake menu but I was unable to taste the green tea in it and I would like to give it another try when available.
