This shall mark my last blog entry for my so-called food expedition on last Sunday. Karen from @venturingfoodie invited San Diann and I for a foodie meetup. Venue and time weren’t fixed in the beginning until the morning of the meetup. Present were Karen from @venturingfoodie, @dafoodenthusiast, @gastronaut.bn, San Diann and I.
For privacy reason, I would not be disclosing their real names unless permission had been given. Karen had given me the green light on our last meet up at Bon Appetit Resto & Cafe. Do click on the profile names if you are interested to find out more of their food adventures!
The main organizer of this foodie meetup was @dafoodenthusiast and Karen. As much as I knew, there were a few other foodies who were invited too but were unable to make it. So, it was only down to the five of us. The event was set to be 5PM at COCO Cafe. San Diann and I arrived on the dot but to find none of them has arrived and we waited.
Shortly after, everyone had arrived and we were moved into the inner part of the cafe whereby we would have more privacy and we were pretty loud that night. LOL! As it was only a get to know each other kind of meetup, we didn’t order much food but a drink each for ourselves and fries to share.
Green Monster | B$6.00
lemon, banana, pineapple, spinach
As I am trying to eat clean, Green Monster sounded the best at the time. I had previously tried their Green Monster on my first visit to COCO Cafe and it was good.
Fries (Air Fried) | B$4.90
COCO Cafe promotes healthy eating. Hence, none of their food are deep fried but air fried. I had previously tried air frying my own fries at home but they didn’t turn out so well. They were drier in texture comparatively to the deep fried ones. Having said so, it is still something healthier to snack on if you are craving for junk food and not wanting to feel guilty. LOL!
