I hadn’t been feeling very well for the past few days. I wasn’t sure if I was down the weather or it was the smokey environment at Kuala Lurah last Sunday evening that caused the nasal congestion. I am not experiencing any symptoms of flu but nasal congestion only.
I had taken a tablet of Clarinase on Monday morning but I ended up feeling drowsy all day. I had once taken the said medicine few months ago but it didn’t give me any drowsiness side effect. Perhaps it was an indication that my body needed some rest? I managed to get myself through the end of day by drinking plenty of warm water to flush out the medicine from my system so that I would feel less drowsy. I could even feel my whole body gone weak. Thankfully, I felt better with the drowsiness after some toilet breaks and sweat.
My friends and I, including San Diann went The Wildflower for coffees and cakes after our waffle ice cream session at Happy Cream & Co. Cafe last Sunday afternoon. We contemplated between The Wildflower and Bloom Cafe but settled with the former as San Diann wanted to try their Butterfly Pea Latte.
Iced Butterfly Pea Latte | B$5.50
This said beverage can be served both hot and cold. As you can see, San Diann went for the cold version. For non-dairy option, we went for soy milk instead of regular milk. San Diann commented that the Latte tasted woody.
To be honest, I didn’t know how did woody tasted like. Despite so, he liked it and he mentioned that the Latte in overall was flavorful and smooth when drank. Perhaps I should try at least once next time to experience myself how does woody taste like. LOL!
Cinnamon Turmeric Latte | B$5.00
I had the non-dairy option too as lactose gave me diarrhea sometimes. I had first tried this about half a year ago and I liked it at the time. Sad to say, I wasn’t very impressed this time round. Reason being, it was too sweet for my liking. Of all the drinks that we ordered, mine was the last to serve.
Nutella Banana Bread | B$4.00
with whipped buttercream
Despite that I just had waffle ice cream before this, I was craving for cakes. I took my time scanning through the dessert option available and came down to this Nutella Banana Bread. It was served toasted and hence you can see the crusty and dry bit on the surface of the Nutella Banana Bread.
It was also served with a few small teaspoonfuls of whipped buttercream which melted slightly under the heat from the toasted Nutella Banana Bread. My friend who is a huge fan of banana bakes sang praises. I think he liked the crusty texture of the bread more. Additionally, the Nutella stuffing went well with the bread too. I liked the Nutella Banana Bread too but I preferred it better non-toasted.
