One of my avid readers – San Diann commented that I am not consistent with my blog updates recently. Well, that was true as I had been a bit busy with work. Furthermore, I hadn’t been eating out much aside from Sunday(s).
If you had been following my blog, you would have noticed that I am reducing wheat intake. I exceeded my wheat quota last week and I had a bit of intolerance issue on Sunday evening. I can feel mild pain at my abdominal area. It took me about two days to get rid of the bloat.
Iced Chai Latte | B$5.90
Iced Dark Chocolate | B$5.90
Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffin | B$4.50
One of my main reasons for visiting Flour & Butter Cafe was to try their Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffin. You don’t get to find much GF bakes in Brunei’s cafe. So, I was happy to know that Flour & Butter Cafe now has it.
The texture was very alike the real deal made of wheat flour. It was moist and packed with chocolate flavor. The chocolate chips stayed in shape and didn’t melt even when baked. However, the only downside was the sweetness level in my opinion. It was a bit too sweet for my liking. It would have been better if less sweet.
Blueberry Pie | B$4.90
Flour & Butter Cafe had recently introduced sweet pies into their line of desserts and one of them being this Blueberry Pie. They had Chocolate Pie too but we decided to go for Blueberry Pie since we already had their Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffin.
I liked it but maybe not as much as the Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffin. The crust didn’t taste very buttery in my opinion but suitable for those who don’t like buttery bakes. Sweetness level was good enough for me. However, the amount of blueberries was quite limited in my opinion.
