10022019 / Ximply Chriz Cafe, Riverside

Hours before Sister’s departure to return to Singapore, we met up with Jennifer at Ximply Chriz Cafe, Riverside as it was one of the latest cafes’ scene in the Sultanate. The cafe was packed to the brim and we had to sit outside. It was warm but the lighting for photography was brilliant!

Without further ado, let me show you what we had during our meetup session at Ximply Chriz Cafe, Riverside the other day!

Ximply Chriz Cafe is located opposite the soon-to-be-open Supa Save and and next to soon-to-be-open Coffee Origin. As I mentioned earlier, we were seated outside as it was fully occupied on the inside. The heat was well compensated with the quality of my pictures. LOL!

Moringa Latte | B$5.00

a superfood with many health benefits made into a drink, sweetened by honey

Watermelon Ice Tea | B$6.00

fresh watermelon, passion fruit tea on ice

Hot Chocolate B$5.50

made with our homemade chocolate ganache

As I had plenty of black coffee in the morning, I got their Hot Chocolate instead and it was served with a piece of marshmallow. It was not bad and the level of sweetness was well adjusted. It was on the milkier side in my opinion. I would very much prefer if it was more chocolate-y taste?

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake | B$5.50

Ximply Chriz Cafe has an extensive range of cakes that day and one of them being this Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake. I am never a fan of Salted Caramel as I find it too sweet for my liking. After our visit to Scoopee the other day and had their Salted Caramel Chocolate Base Soft Serve, Sister had taken a liking for Salted Caramel.

This was a cross sectioned shot of their Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake. I loved that the cake was moist. I wouldn’t say soft because it was more like a dense cake but it ain’t dry. The chocolate frosting was nice.

The taste of salted caramel wasn’t very distinct in my opinion as it was mixed in the chocolate frosting. However, you could still taste it if you had the frosting individually without the cake. In overall, I was impressed with their Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake as it wasn’t sweet and had the right amount of chocolate that I love.

Chunky Fries | B$4.50

served with homemade bbq dipping sauce

I was craving for carbs despite I just had lunch not long ago. You can choose in between fries or wedges. Prior to ordering, I asked if their fries were straight cut and homemade. Texture wise, it was just like how I liked it. It had the crunchy exterior and soft on the inside. It was served with their homemade bbq dipping sauce. The bbq dipping sauce had a smokey taste and tiny bit spicy.
