24032019 / Flour & Butter Cafe

It had been a while since the last time I visited Flour & Butter Cafe for dinner. I had wanted to try some of the Gluten Free (GF) bakes from baked.by.liz at Flour & Butter Cafe but they were sold out.

In case you are new to this blog, here’s a bonus information. I had been trying to go as GF as possible in my daily diet. There’s no particular reason as to why I am doing it but I do feel better both physically and mentally.

Fries | B$5.00

Flour & Butter Cafe is now officially one of my favorite cafes for fries. In all honesty, I wasn’t a fan of their fries previously as they turned soggy when cooled down. I was craving for fries yesterday and I asked if they could fry the fries longer. The waitress told me that she would pass the message to the kitchen staff.

When the fries were placed right in front of me, I thought: “Hmm … The fries looked more golden in color than before and they must be good!” After all the pictures’ snapping, I took one of the fries, dipped it into the chili sauce, popped into my mouth and took the first bite. True to what I believed when I first saw the fries, the kitchen staff got my request right. The fries were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The texture maintained even when the fries had cooled down.
