Skincare Buys #14

I didn’t stock up much on my skincare products this time round as I think I still had quite a bit of them in my skincare drawer stash. However, I snapped quite a bit of Elizabeth Arden products on a cheap deal from Andrea. They are my regular skincare products so I don’t bother to take pictures and post them here.

Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion | S$83

I never failed to stock up on my holy grail toner from Singapore Changi Airport whenever I am leaving. I used to stock this particular product from Miri but I was once told that Malaysia is selling this size as a limited edition product whereas you can get it easily off the shelves at Singapore Changi Airport.

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream | S$44.70

innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream | S$32

Singapore Changi Airport is having this promotion whereby you get additional discount for K-beauty products. You’ll get additional 10% off with purchase of two K-beauty products or 15% off for three or more K-beauty products. It’s a good deal to be honest if you are into K-beauty products.

Skincare Buys #13

One of the agendas of my Miri overnight trip last weekend was to stock up on eye cream. I ran out of eye cream as my previous The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Eye Cream-Gel was hitting bottom. So, I thought I should just get myself an eye cream from Malaysia instead of Singapore despite that I am flying over this weekend.

When I was products’ browsing at Lancôme, Mom was asking me why am I not buying from Singapore since we will be going soon? It used to be cheaper to stock up on skincare products in Singapore. However, it is cheaper to stock up on skincare products from Malaysia now that RM is depreciating. I did the Maths and found out that it was cheaper by approximately RM30 or more.

Lancôme Advanced Génifique Eye Cream | RM233

I was being given three sample packs of this Youth Activating Concentrate which definitely come in handy especially when I will be traveling this weekend. I don’t have to worry of how to bring my serum. I could use these and dispose them when I am done.

Skincare Buys #12

I accidentally broke the lead of my Shu Uemura Hard Formula this morning. It was sharpened not long ago when Mom went to Shanghai at the end of July. I had not been using it long but I find it easier to use as compared to Shu Uemura Brow:Sword.

The downside of having Shu Uemura Hard Formula is that it is hard to get it sharpened over the counter as we do not have any in Brunei and the closest ones are at Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. I am hoping that Parkson, Miri will be bringing in Shu Uemura soon.

Without further ado, let me show you what I had only purchased from Watsons, Miri last week. They were not much and I only purchased two new facial cleansers. I had only realized that I stocked up more on makeup removers than facial cleansers.

Shiseido SENKA Perfect White Clay | RM15.21

Shiseido SENKA Perfect Double Wash | RM15.21

Skincare Buys #11

If you had been following my blog regularly enough, you would knew that I had recently returned from my holiday vacation in Singapore. Singapore is one of the countries which I would always stock up on skincare products as they are relatively cheaper and extensive choices as compared to Brunei. However, it is always cheaper to purchase from Malaysia due to the inflation of Ringgit Malaysia (RM).

Without further ado, let me show you what I had purchased from Singapore!

Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water | S$19.90

This is one of the latest introductions of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It is more expensive than the regular Micellar Cleansing Water. The highlight of this product is that the micellar cleansing water is oil-infused with floral fragrance. It is retailed at S$19.90 at Guardian, Singapore but an additional 20% discount will be given if you purchase two or more of the same item in a single receipt.

Bioderma Sensibio Mild Cleansing Foaming Gel | S$33.90

I found this product at Watsons first and bought it as I am quite a fan of Bioderma facial cleansers. After payment, I went over to Guardian located nearby to purchase Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water but only to find that they are selling this product even cheaper at 20% off. So, I returned to Watsons and requested for a refund and the Cashier asked me the reason for returning the said product. I answered in all honesty and said it was cheaper at Guardian. LOL!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | B$6.10

I purchased this in Brunei prior to flying Singapore as I thought I would need a travel size makeup remover and this comes in just the perfect size. However, I ended up not bringing this with me to Singapore and brought Shiseido SENKA Perfect Gel instead. I like that it is handy in size but definitely not to be carried inside cabin luggage as it is exceeds the minimum 100ml policy.

fresh Soy Face Cleanser | S$21

innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water | S$15.30

This was originally S$15.30 as stated above but The SHILLA was doing a promotion whereby you will get additional discount for purchasing two or more Korean skincare products. If my memory serves me well, I think it was 10% off for any two Korean skincare products and 15% for any three and above Korean skincare products.

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream | S$44.70

Laneige Foam Cleanser Moisture_EX | S$23.10

I wanted to get Laneige White Dew Milky Cleanser but they were out of it. So, I got this instead. It was a value buy as I got additional 15% discount for purchasing more than two pieces of Korean skincare products.

Shu Uemura Brow:Sword | S$53

Shu Uemura Hard Formula | S$25.60

Before flying to Singapore, I asked Andrea what is her current favorite brand for eyebrow pencil that she would recommend. She recommended me Shu Uemura as it is longer lasting as compared to some of the other brands which she had used. As a matter of fact, she recommended me Hard Formula as it does not break easily. I am a fan of Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils but the lead breaks easily when dropped. I dropped it once and the whole thing was damaged.

So, this summed up my skincare loots from Singapore. I am still considering if I should get myself another Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils from Miri tomorrow. Despite that it broke easily when dropped, I liked the easy application as compared to Shu Uemura. The wonder of Shu Uemura Brow:Sword and Hard Formula is that color looked extremely soft and natural after application.

Skincare Buys #10

It has been quite some time since I last did a skincare haul blog entry. So, here comes one for the time being. If you are wondering, I did not buy them all at the same time. They were bought separately at different times over the past few months. A few of them were purchased recently in a few days time as part of my retail therapy due to stress.

Without further ado, let’s get this blog entry started! I will be posting them in chronological order, first in first out. LOL!

L’Oreal Micellar Water | B$14.40

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | B$12.60

I bought the above two bottles of micellar cleansing water from Hua Ho, Kiulap some time last month if my memory serves me well enough. However, both Hua Ho and Guardian outlets are currently doing a price reduction for Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for about B$8.90 if I am not wrong.

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Night™ Cream | RM253

I bought myself this as I am running short of night cream. This is my second tub of the product and I got it with 20% off, courtesy to the aunt of my colleague.

Senka Perfect Watery Oil | RM29.80

Laneige Clear C Peeling Serum | B$44.90

Laneige Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water | B$33.90

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream | RM155

I purchased this from Parkson, Bintang Megamall yesterday as my usual day moisturizer of Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief is running extremely low at the moment and I do not think I could wait for Sister to bring back another tub when flying home at the end of this month.

The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Eye Cream-Gel | B$59.90

I purchased myself a bottle of eye cream as my current Artistry Youth Xtend Enriching Eye Cream is running low at the moment. I had actually planned on making a trip down to Amway while in Miri yesterday but gave it a miss due to time constraint.

I was at Times Square this afternoon and I decided to give The Body Shop a shot. This was how I ended up buying an eye cream from The Body Shop. I was being given a sample of their Drops Of Youth™ Youth Cream and I quite like the texture after having tried it this evening. Perhaps I should consider getting it next time? Price is steep though.
