Skincare Buys #23

I had finally went to collect the Shiseido sunscreen which I had requested a friend to get for me when he flew back from Singapore last weekend. We weren’t able to meet up before he flew back. So, he left the item at his relative’s shop and told me to collect it on my free time.

Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ Hydrofresh | S$55

This was the sunscreen which I wanted to buy the other day but it wasn’t available at the Shiseido counter in Brunei. This product is almost similar to my previous sunscreen. However, this one comes with a cooling finishing. I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow morning.

Skincare Buys #22

Parents and I went to Miri on a day trip yesterday morning. We left from home shortly after 6:30AM and came home before 6:00PM. The journey to Miri was a smooth one. Despite it was a Sunday, there was no traffic at both checkpoints when leaving and entering Brunei. It was a rare sight to be honest ever since the inflation of RM.

Our first stop in Miri was 龙门客栈 for second round of breakfast as we had some at home in early morning. We headed to Bintang Megamall after breakfast as I wanted to get a sunscreen from Shiseido in Parkson.

Despite that I had requested my friend to get me one from Singapore Changi Airport, I wasn’t able to collect it on time and could only wait for another few more days.

Shiseido Clear Stick UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ | RM120

When I was browsing through the sunscreen options at Shiseido, the BA recommended me one of their recent launch of sunscreens in the form of stick. I tried it on my skin and it was good. What’s better is that it is convenient. You don’t have to use your fingers to massage them onto the skin.

Skincare Buys #21

My holy grail Shiseido sunscreen is running low at the moment so I redeemed a Hua Ho’s voucher from Standard Chartered Bank some time last week. Unfortunately, the BA at Shiseido informed me that the particular sunscreen which I wanted was out of stock and it’s probably not going to be restocked anytime soon.

I considered asking Sister to get me one from Singapore Changi Airport when she comes home next month but it will be a long wait considering that my sunscreen is running real low. However, I got lucky as a friend happened to be flying back from Singapore for the weekend and requested him to get me one from the airport.

As I didn’t get the sunscreen from Hua Ho, I wasn’t able to use the voucher which I redeemed. So, I got myself a moisturizer from Shiseido WASO and only topped up B$10 as balance.

Shiseido WASO Clear Mega-Hydrating Cream | B$60

What’s so special about this product as promoted by the BA was the carrot extract used to make this moisturizer. It smelled quite pleasant but it could be overpowering for those who doesn’t strongly scented skincare products.

Skincare Buys #20 – Hermo.my

Collected my Hermo.my‘s parcel at Cake Rush just now after having lunch with Alan at Zitos!. This is my third order from Hermo.my and I had it delivered to Miri so that I don’t have to worry about custom duties and pharmacy screening. The shipment arrived quick this time round.

Hermo.my ships all orders in their default designed parcel box. All products were bubble wrapped to avoid breakage or spillage inside the box in the course of shipment.

Pyunkang Yul Cosmetic Moisture Serum | RM104.94

You may not have heard about this brand if you are not into K-beauty. I didn’t know about this brand either until I watched a YouTube beauty video whereby the vlogger highly raved of the brand. I would say it is a value buy given the size of the product but whether it lives up to the hype, I am not too sure yet. I shall review the product once I had used a fair share of it.

klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum | RM95

It was the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop which I wanted from klairs but it was sold out. However, I did find the item on Lazada and selling at a lower price. However, I didn’t get it as I thought the parcel may not arrive Cake Rush on time for me to collect.

belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb | RM170

banilo co Clean It ZERO | RM79.50

heimish ALL CLEAN BALM | RM62.54

heimish ALL CLEAN BALM is one of the highly recommended Korean makeup removal products. When I returned to Hermo.my to check out the pricing of this product a while ago, it had been sold out. Majority K-beauty bloggers highly recommended this cleansing balm over the banila co Clean It ZERO. Some even said that heimish’s is the improvised version of banila co’s.

I often get asked of how I shipped skincare products from Hermo.my into Brunei. It is not easy to ship cosmetics products into Brunei as you are very likely to be liable for custom duties. Most importantly, these products have to be screened by the pharmacist at the Post Office before they would be released to you.

I had previously attempted two deliveries of skincare products into Brunei. One from Malaysia and the other from Singapore. Both took a long time to arrive. However, I was lucky enough to escape custom duties and pharmacy clearance on both times. That being said, I would try to avoid having them shipped to Brunei but to Miri.

Skincare Buys #19

I didn’t buy a lot from the duty free shop at Singapore Changi Airport when returning to Brunei last month as I still had quite a bit of everything the last time I checked my skincare stash. LOL! However, I did stock up on my holy grail toner from Kose.

Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion | S$88.50

This used to be $83 when I last purchased back in October 2017 but it has now increased by S$5.50. The packaging had been revamped though. I find it weird that Malaysia is selling this size as a limited edition item while Singapore sells it as a regular item.

Kose Sekkisei Treatment Cleansing Oil | S$35.50

A new item for my skincare stash which I got from Kose. This cleansing oil had been launched for a few years but never gotten round to try it. So, I got myself one to try since the price tag ain’t that steep for a cleansing oil from Kose.
