Skincare Buys #9

Here comes the second installment of the skincare products which I had gotten myself recently. Some were from my previous holiday trip to Shanghai and Tokyo while the rest were bought from Miri on a day trip couple of months ago. And I had recently bought two eyebrow pencils in within the same week. LOL!

Hanajirushi Amino Acid Face Washing Cream | ¥65

According to Watson in China, Hanajirushi is a Japanese brand. Weirdly enough, we never came across this brand at Matsumoto Kiyoshi. I had been using this for two weeks or so. So, you will be expecting a review about the said product soon.

Senka Perfect Gel | RM18.90

Yves Rocher Sensitive Vegetal Targeted Comfort Care | B$27

Biore Perfect Cleansing Water | RM35

This one came with a free sample of travel size Biore Perfect Cleansing Water with floral scent. I bought this at a discounted price. I think 15% off the above price. Can’t remember the price now as it had been months since I bought it.

Kose Sekkisei Medicated Lotion | 5400円

Cannot miss stocking up on my holy grail toner from Kose. I think I stocked this up from Matsumoto Kiyoshi. They were doing a promotion for a couple of hours at the time whereby selected Kose products were retailed at 40% discount and tax refund for tourists.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief | ¥272

The Body Shop 3 in 1 Brow Definer Crayon Sourcils | B$22.90

Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil Blonde | B$35

This was my second purchase of eyebrow pencil last week. I bought one from The Body Shop which I did not really like it. While I was waiting for Jennifer to arrive for our dim sum lunch last Sunday, I walked around Hua Ho Yayasan. Intended to try out the eyebrow pencil from Laneige as it was similar to the one which I had been using from Kose Esprique but they did not have the shade which I wanted.

Dropped by Elizabeth Arden counter but to find that their eyebrow “pencil” is in the form of palette powder which I am not at all a fan of. I had one from KATE which I had trouble drawing my eyebrows with. This Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil Blonde was good for me despite that I had a hard time getting used to the color of it on my eyebrows on the first few days. LOL!

So, this summed up all my skincare purchases for the past few months and I think they could last me for almost a year? LOL!

Skincare Buys #8

Just realized that I had been doing food blog entries recently when I was going through my blog archives a while ago. So, here I am with a skincare blog entry. It has been more than two weeks since I came home from my Tokyo and Shanghai holiday. And of course, I came home with quite a haul for skincare products. Didn’t go crazy with skincare products’ while in Tokyo but in Shanghai insted.

Without further ado, let me show you what I had gotten myself on my holiday. I bought more makeup removers as I like to go for varieties and I am more of a stickler for toners and moisturizers.

L’oreal Micellar Water | ¥79

Maybelline City Rescue Miracle Oil | ¥99

Maybelline Micellar Water | ¥59

Softymo DEEP Cleansing Oil | 498円

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate | ¥1008

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum | ¥333
Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster | ¥338

innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser | ¥80

Shiseido White Lucent Luminizing Surge | ¥333

Shiseido White Lucent All Day Brightener SPF36 | ¥327

Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ Wet Force | ¥244

This basically summed up three quarter of my skincare loots from Shanghai and Tokyo. I still have a few more items but I think I will cover them some other time. I am now regretting not getting the Kose Esprique Eyebrow Pencil from Tokyo as the one that I am using now is running low.

Elizabeth Arden Skincare Buys

Stocked up on my Elizabeth Arden skincare products as I am running out of them. Dad flew back to Kuching earlier this week and I got him to bring some back for me after purchasing them from the aunt of my colleague who works with Elizabeth Arden. Bought some new ones to try and one regular  product which I had been using on and off.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Cream Dry | RM209

I use this product as my daytime moisturizer whenever I have it. Despite it was formulated for dry skin, it did not feel oily on my skin after application despite that I have a combination skin type. I love the scent of the moisturizer and the texture is not heavy at all. It just glide smoothly on the skin during application.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster | RM229

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Caplet Serum | RM266

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser | RM103

Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask

Which I got for free from my purchases. This is a full size sample and this was the second one which I got from her. My colleague told me that I should start using this as this is one good product.

Thing is, when it comes to mask, I am lazy. But I guess it is time for me to do something about it as I could see that my skin condition lately is not as good as before.

Elizabeth Arden Mini Haul

So, I stocked up on my Elizabeth Arden skincare products at the end of last month when one of my colleagues went back to Kuching for holiday. I requested her to get me a few of Elizabeth Arden items from her aunt. Ever since I came to know that her aunt works for Elizabeth Arden, I had been buying from her as it is cheaper in RM and her aunt gives me discount all the time.

I did not get much this time round, only two items and her aunt was nice enough to give me a full size Elizabeth Arden Pretty perfume. I had always wanted to buy that perfume since couple of years ago but never gotten round to as I have got too many perfumes in hand. And furthermore, the price ain’t cheap at all! So, I was truly happy when I saw the freebie that came with my purchase.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Moisturizing Eye Cream (Travelers’ Pack) | RM237
Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Night Cream Dry | RM193

Ever since I finished on my previous pot of Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment, I had been using Kose Sekkisei Eye Cream until I got these from my colleague. I had been using this Elizabeth Arden eye cream for more than a week and I am extremely impressed with the moisturizing effects it did on my skin.

Before getting this eye cream in travelers’ pack, I contemplated between getting the single piece or duo pack. I caved in and got the duo pack instead since it was cheaper to get two instead of one only.

I had been using the combination type of night cream from Elizabeth Arden but my colleague got me the wrong product. She got me dry instead of the combination type which I had been using. But it is alright since it doesn’t matter much as I am sleeping in an air-conditioned room. The difference between dry and combination is the scent that comes with. Dry comes in lavender scent while combination has a subtle scent of I-don’t-know-what.

Elizabeth Arden Pretty

Skincare Buys #7

Just came home from Jia‘s house about an hour ago and had baked a Vanilla Chiffon Cake to share with colleagues tomorrow. They cooked up a fancy feast at workplace yesterday afternoon over lunch for my birthday. So, I decided to bake them a cake since they had been telling me that I never share my bakes with them. LOL!

Mom is flying over to Shanghai again at the end of this month and I am planning to bake Sister Cheesecake Brownie by DessertzHouse. I had baked Chocolate Chiffon Cake by DessertzHouse as well this afternoon and brought it over to Jia’s house after dinner.

Before I show you my skincare buys from Shanghai, let me show you the Chocolate Chiffon Cake which I baked this afternoon. I will blog about the recipe some other day. You can always refer to the original link in the mean time if you wish to.

Moving on to my skincare buys …

I had overspent on skincare purchases on my previous holiday trip to Shanghai. I had even purchased a few items from Sasa before I am leaving for Shanghai as it takes time for delivery to Sister accommodation in Nanjing.

Delivery service was quick and prompt. I think it took less than five days to reach Sister. I bought three items from Sasa. Sasa was having this promotion whereby delivery within Mainland China is free via expedited shipping for purchases over RMB119 in one single receipt. I jumped at the chance, of course. RMB119 is less than B$25 when converted to Brunei’s currency.

Shiseido AquaLabel Cleansing Liquid | RMB78 (Watsons)
Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil | RMB65 (Sasa)
Shiseido Senka Perfect Liquid | RMB68 (Mannings)

Biore Cleansing Milk | RMB58 (Watsons)
Shiseido Senka Perfect Milk | RMB48 (Watsons)

Biore Facial Wash Hydration | RMB25 (Mannings)
Shiseido AquaLabel White Clear Foam | RMB79.10 (Sasa)
Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip | RMB35 (Sasa)

Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution | RMB349 (Shanghai Pudong International Airport)
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief | RMB272 (Shanghai Pudong International Airport)

I did not get these Kose Sekkisei Lotion from Shanghai but I requested KinG to bring back two bottles for me from Singapore Changi International Airport while he was on the way back to Brunei from his business trip yesterday.

I was in luck yesterday as the original price for a bottle of Kose Sekkisei Lotion 360ml is about S$76 at the airport. But there was a promotion going on, hence he got me two bottles of the same size for S$97.30 only after a further reduction of 30% from S$139.
