One of my recent skincare purchases from Hermo.my. I made the order alongside with Jennifer since I would be going Miri for my second touch up of my eyebrow embroidery. It was a lot convenient that I collected the parcel myself instead of having to trouble my colleagues to bring them back for me.
As I browsed through the website, I didn’t find much that I wanted aside from a moisturizer from HADA LABO So, I asked Jennifer if she needed to get any Korean skincare product so that I could reach the minimum spending to entitle for complimentary shipment.
She mentioned that she was looking for a facial cleanser and asked if I had any recommendation. I recommended her COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. The said facial cleanser is one of the highly raved ones by majority Korean beauty YouTubers and the price tag was on the affordable side too! Unfortunately, it was sold out. However, she still managed to score herself a cleansing oil from HADA LABO and some trial size products from HERA.
HADA LABO Arbutin Whitening Water Gel | RM67.83
This was what I got from Hermo.my for myself. I had previously seen it in Watsons physical store and it was a lot more expensive than retailed on Hermo.my. I am not sure if this product is good but I am always keen to try water gel based moisturizer as I need something light in my daytime skincare routine.
As mentioned in my previous entries, I had recently purchased a macro lens on my last trip to Singapore. I had been contemplating about it for a long time and decided to make it an investment. My camera is one of my frequently used gadgets. The lens that I got when purchasing my SONY NEX-3N few years ago wasn’t very good in terms of the macro feature.
I am still playing with the new macro lens but I do have to admit that I have yet gotten the hang of it. However, I am perfectly happy that this macro lens focuses better than my previous lens. It took me more attempts to get a satisfied result though as I am still practicing.
Without further ado, let me show you my skincare loots from the duty free shop at Singapore Changi Airport!
Kose Sekkisei Lotion | S$88.50
Whenever I depart from Singapore Changi Airport, I would never fail to stock up on my holy grail Kose Sekkisei Lotion. They were selling this in both individual and twin pack. I considered getting the twin pack but decided not to when I remembered having an unopened bottle at home.
Laneige Multi Deep-Clean Cleanser | S$27.50
I think this is one of the recent releases from Laneige in their cleansing section. I don’t remember seeing it on the shelves on my last departure back in July. As usual, there is a promotion for Korean skincare products. You are entitled to 10% off for two Korean products and 15% for three and above. You can mix and match different brands together as long as they are Korean brands.
I had finally unpacked all my skincare purchases from Singapore this morning. It took me longer to unpack this time round. Not because of the quantity but I was lazy in doing them in the past few days. Hence, I waited until my day off before I do it.
Without further ado, let me show you my loots this time round. They weren’t much as I still have quite a few unopened ones at home. So, I managed to get one of my holy grail skincare items. I wanted to get an eye cream from innisfree but it was unavailable.
Kose Sekkisei Lotion | S$88.50
This had been my holy grail toner since I first started using it. I think I had used up about 10 bottles as of now. I had tried multiple brands of toners but none worked as good as this. However, this is solely subjective to personal preference.
When I was buying this, the BA at the duty free counter of Singapore Changi Airport asked if I would like one with a different packaging. In spite of the different packaging, the product’s contents were the same. The other packaging was indeed nicer.
Laneige Fresh Calming Gel Cleanser | S$24.70
This is a relatively new product from Laneige. It was launched some time last year but it wasn’t on the shelf at the duty free shops in Singapore Changi Airport. It was however available this time round. I bought one to try since the price tag wasn’t at all steep for a facial cleanser.
Garnier Refreshing Facial Cleanser | S$11.90
Kose Softymo White Cleansing Oil | S$15.90
This was on sale at half price at Watsons. Having tried the other two cleansing oils from Kose Softymo range, I love them but they are not easily available in Brunei. So, I snapped up a bottle when I saw that it was on sale at half price. I only paid for less than S$8 a bottle. It wasn’t as cheap as getting it from Japan but considerably cheap outside Japan.
So, this basically summed up my skincare loots from Singapore this time round.
I had finally went to collect the Shiseido sunscreen which I had requested a friend to get for me when he flew back from Singapore last weekend. We weren’t able to meet up before he flew back. So, he left the item at his relative’s shop and told me to collect it on my free time.
Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ Hydrofresh | S$55
This was the sunscreen which I wanted to buy the other day but it wasn’t available at the Shiseido counter in Brunei. This product is almost similar to my previous sunscreen. However, this one comes with a cooling finishing. I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow morning.
Parents and I went to Miri on a day trip yesterday morning. We left from home shortly after 6:30AM and came home before 6:00PM. The journey to Miri was a smooth one. Despite it was a Sunday, there was no traffic at both checkpoints when leaving and entering Brunei. It was a rare sight to be honest ever since the inflation of RM.
Our first stop in Miri was 龙门客栈 for second round of breakfast as we had some at home in early morning. We headed to Bintang Megamall after breakfast as I wanted to get a sunscreen from Shiseido in Parkson.
Despite that I had requested my friend to get me one from Singapore Changi Airport, I wasn’t able to collect it on time and could only wait for another few more days.
Shiseido Clear Stick UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ | RM120
When I was browsing through the sunscreen options at Shiseido, the BA recommended me one of their recent launch of sunscreens in the form of stick. I tried it on my skin and it was good. What’s better is that it is convenient. You don’t have to use your fingers to massage them onto the skin.
