I had finally finished packing for my Singapore trip. Well, it only took me less than an hour to pack my suitcase and there would definitely be some last minute packing of toiletries and skincare necessities tomorrow morning before heading to the airport.

I am leaving on a 9:15AM flight for Singapore and I have to leave home around 7:15AM despite I had online checked in earlier on. You can never predict how bad the morning traffic is going to be from my house to the airport. I had started my annual leave today but I had to run back to the office on short notice to sort out the paperwork for a visa application and I managed to get it done just in time before they close for the day.

Felt all hungry when I was done with the visa and drove straight to town to get an early lunch. I decided to get lunch at TCVH Vegetarian House so that it would be convenient in terms of accessibility for my manicure and pedicure session in town later on.

Soy Milk | B$1.50

As I am on a no coffee diet at the moment, I decided to go for their freshly made soy milk. You can request for no sugar, mildly sweetened or with standard sweetness. I went for mildly sweetened. The sweetness level was just perfect for me but I find the Soy Milk rather powdery in texture?

酸甜贵妃鸡 | B$4.00

I was craving for something sour so I went for this. The portion of mock chicken was pretty generous in my opinion and the sweet and sour sauce went extremely well with the rice.

Here comes an overdue blog entry from earlier this month. I intended to drop by Flour & Butter Cafe for dinner on the particular evening as I found out from their Instagram profile that they had launched a few new dishes on their menu.

Unfortunately, the cafe was pretty crowded that night so I resorted to having dinner at Tien Sing Restaurant instead after I had completed shopping for my baking supplies.

Homemade Cereal Tofu | B$5.50

I could not recall what was the exact price of their Homemade Cereal Tofu but I do have a vague memory that it was between B$5 to B$6. What intrigued me was that it was stated that the tofu was homemade. *Price had been updated!*

It tasted pretty much the same like store bought ones. Texture wise, it was indeed smooth and silky. However, the cereal mixture seems to be lemon infused in my opinion, which I think it was pretty refreshing for a change.

Used up my Internet quota yesterday evening after downloading an episode of Man X Man. I think YouTube streaming also took up partial of the leftover quota as well. I had no choice but to top up another 10GB worth of data for B$8 for the time being as there are three of us in the household who use Internet. Albeit topped up, the web loading is still slow at the moment.

I left work earlier than usual for my Saturday shift. I had dinner on my own at TCVH Vegetarian House as I wanted to do grocery shopping at Hua Ho, Kiulap after dinner. Intended to get myself some coffee fix after grocery shopping at Kapra Coffee but it turned out that they had recently revised their opening hours. They are no longer open in the evening.

Assam Curry Fish with Rice | B$4

Craving for something soupy as it was nearing the time of the month. This was a good bowl of Assam Curry Fish but it was lacking the sourness that I am craving for. The portion of vegetables was generous but there were only two pieces of mock fish.

I had been on a vegetarian diet for the past three days. One of my colleagues mentioned to me that she decided to go on a full course three days vegetarian diet from Monday until Wednesday. I decided to follow suit since we share lunch together at workplace during meal time. Much to my surprise, I was able to last until yesterday despite being hungry most of the time as no meat was consumed in these three days.

Yesterday was the first day of lunar month. So, the both of us decided to go out for vegetarian dinner with Jennifer at TCVH Vegetarian House. We arrived half past seven to find the restaurant half packed with patrons. We both love the food served at TCVH Vegetarian House but serving time could take a while especially when they are busy. I suspected that it could be due to lack of manpower in the kitchen.

咖喱什菜饭 | B$4.00

It is almost the time of the month so my craving for hot and spicy food kicked in again. I had wanted to order a bigger portion of this to share but my colleague was unable to consume spicy food at the moment. I resorted to ordering myself an individual portion. It was good. The broth had the amount of spicy kick which I craved for. The long bean was however raw to me. All in all, this was a good bowl of vegetarian curry if you are craving for one.

琵琶豆腐香菇西兰花

I could not remember how much this was fared but I do recall that the waitress mentioned about homemade tofu in the dish. However, we all thought that the homemade tofu tasted more like homemade seafood cake. Despite so, I still thought that this was a good option if you are looking for something light and healthy at the same time.

蒙古贵妃鸡饭 | B$5.00

Jennifer ordered this for herself and I got to try a piece of the mock chicken. It was good but I felt that the sauce tasted more like buttermilk? I could be wrong as I had never tried Mongolian sauce for myself before.

07042017 / Tien Sing Restaurant

Dinner tonight was at Tien Sing Restaurant. I intended to go TCVH Vegetarian House but traffic was horrendous in Kiulap at the time when I was nearby. I considered driving back to Kiulap after dinner for my manicure and pedicure session but it was raining cats and dogs when I left the restaurant.

Tomato Watanho | B$4.50

Been craving for Tomato Watanho recently despite I already had one some time earlier this week. My dinner was pretty much loaded with vegetables and the broth was sour enough for my liking. I did not manage to finish the noodle as the portion was too big for me.

I ordered a portion of Cangkuk Manis Fried Rice as takeaway for breakfast tomorrow morning as I could not be bothered to prepare breakfast. LOL!
