As Mom is currently away for her eye surgery, I am lazy to prepare breakfast and lunch before work. So, I made do with breakfast outside and bought lunch during breakfast. However, both my colleague and I decided to be good tomorrow and eat at home instead. I will be making some preserved radish omelette tomorrow for lunch.
Anyways, I had breakfast at Ah Mit’s Delicacy Cafe with my colleague yesterday morning before work. I had been craving for Nasi Lemak for days and I remembered that Ah Mit’s Delicacy Cafe serves a decent one (at least for my taste-bud). Without further ado, let me show you what we had yesterday morning for breakfast!
Nasi Lemak | B$5.00
Came with a chicken drumstick, fresh cucumber slices, halved hard boiled egg, deep fried anchovies and peanuts, chili sambal and coconut milk infused pandan rice. This was my second time having their Nasi Lemak and it was still as good as I remembered. I am lucky to be served with chicken drumsticks on both times.
The coconut milk infused pandan rice was fluffy and yet fragrant at the same time. Another highlight of their Nasi Lemak is their chili sambal. It was fully packed with flavors but a little bit spicy. The spiciness paired well with the deep fried condiments and rice! If you have a thing for Nasi Lemak, do give their Nasi Lemak a try.
Char Kueh Tiaw | B$4.00
This was what my colleague had for breakfast yesterday morning. I didn’t get the pricing as we didn’t go through their menu to place our orders. We ordered based on what we wanted to eat. Their Char Kueh Tiaw was decent enough as per my colleague. I still prefer my Nasi Lemak over her Char Kueh Tiaw.
Banana Fritter | B$2.00
Banana Fritter aka Cucur Pisang is one of local favorites during tea break. Served in a portion of five, they were well fried and nicely browned. The bananas used were ripe enough in my opinion but the batter didn’t meet my expectation. They turned soggy when cooled down. I prefer my Banana Fritter crunchy on the batter.
