Review: PUREDERM Vitalizing Green Tea Pack

Here comes my second blog entry for today. Not sure if majority of you had heard of PUREDERM before. At first, I thought PUREDERM is some British or American brand. But much to my surprise, PUREDERM is actually a Korean brand. I got myself a couple of PUREDERM pack more than half a year ago when I was window shopping for CNY goodies and I came across this inexpensive brand at Paloma, The Mall.

Out of curiosity, I bought four different packs to try since it wasn’t out of my budget line and wouldn’t leave my wallet with a burnt hole. I got myself Cucumber, Aloe, Green Tea and Tomato. Out of these four, I have only tried two of them including the one which I am about to review in a while.

So, here comes my review on PUREDERM Vitalizing Green Tea Pack.

The reason why I got Green Tea was because I like skincare products which come with the scent of Green Tea. This is a kind of wash off massage pack. The main ingredients of this product are Green Tea extract and Olive Oil. Green Tea extract is for vitalizing and increasing skin elasticity while Olive Oil serves as skin whitening and softening agent.

The texture of this massage pack is not as creamy as Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repair Pack or Etude House I Need You! Yogurt Wash-Off Pack. I would say that the texture is more like gelish. It doesn’t smell much like Green Tea either. Perhaps the ingredient wasn’t that strong enough? A packet would actually last you about 2 to 3 usages as you do not need a lot on your face. Make sure that you had properly cleansed your face before using the massage pack so that your skin would fully absorb the product.

Leave the massage pack on your face for like about 5 to 10 minutes before washing them off with lukewarm water. I washed mine with normal cool plain water and it was pretty hard to rinse off due to the gelish texture. But they still came off eventually. Upon rinsing the massage pack off my face, I could see that my skin complexion had brightened up a bit but I could also see redness on my pores, which I don’t think was a good sign. The massage pack doesn’t irritate my skin during application so I couldn’t understand why are the pores looking so red when I rinsed them off. It did give my skin a softening feeling but it was only temporary. Probably last me for about a few hours only.

Pros:
1. A little goes a long way.
2. Inexpensive.
3. Travel handy.

Cons:
1. Green Tea scent was minimal.
2. Quite hard to rinse off due to it’s gelish texture.
3. Redness on the pores areas.

Overall Rating: 2.5 out of 5

Price: B$1.00

Repurchase? Definitely not.

Sunday Lunch @ Kaizen Sushi Waterfront

As promised, here comes my second blog entry of the day. I am gonna make this short and brief as my shoulder is still aching and I can’t be typing away much. My favorite place when it comes to Japanese cuisine is always Kaizen Sushi Waterfront. I actually wanted to try the newly opened Excapade Sushi Bandar but I was too tired to walk a longer distance to the said restaurant as I had been starving since morning as I did not have a proper breakfast prior to my massage at Thann Sanctuary Spa. But don’t worry, I’ll try Excapade Sushi Bandar some day soon.

I had just realized that quite a lot of people were still unaware that Excapade Sushi had opened another branch in the town center like almost two weeks ago. For those of you who are working in the town center, you can have Japanese cuisine for lunch as often as you wish to if you are not so keen on burning a hole in your wallet at Kaizen Sushi Waterfront. The reason why I preferred Kaizen Sushi Waterfront over Excapade Sushi wasn’t because of the ambiance but purely because Kaizen Sushi Waterfront doesn’t have much MSG in their dishes.

Anyways, here comes the food pictures …

Sake Temaki | B$3.60

I was never a Temaki person before but I had been ordering Temaki lately whenever I am dining at a Japanese restaurant. Maybe not at Misato Teppan Grill previously. LOL! As usual, the sashimi at Kaizen Sushi Waterfront are the best in my opinion. They are always the juiciest and freshest in my opinion. The seaweed was crispy as well.

Tori Teridon | B$7.20

I rarely order Tori Teridon whenever I am at a Japanese restaurant but I decided to have something different this time around. Doesn’t feel like cracking my brain thinking what to order when I am already starving. The meal came with preserved radish and miso soup. The soup was a little bit salty for my liking but still acceptable. The fried chicken thigh was pretty juicy and tender in my opinion. Portion was just right enough to curb my hunger. Hahaha …

Anyways, that’s all for today. Gonna get some rest now because my shoulder pain getting more worse.

See you when we meet again next time. Ciao … xD

Skincare Buys #1

I know I wouldn’t be updating my blog as often as I used for the next two weeks. So, I’ll be doing two blog entries in one go tonight to make up for the short in the past. LOL! Anyways, I had my Harnn Heritage Aromatic Massage at Thann Sanctuary Spa this morning as I had been having extreme pain around my right shoulder leading my arms feeling sore and cramp at the same time. I don’t frequent Thann Sanctuary Spa as much as I used to anymore, probably like once in every 2 to 3 months. And I only go there when I am feeling pain in certain few areas.

Went to Hua Ho, Yayasan after my lunch at Kaizen Sushi Waterfront. Been craving for some Japanese food since last Sunday so I decided to go there on my own since none of my friend was available today. Jia had a birthday picnic at Angel Beach, which I am supposed to go as well. But I cancelled on her coz I did not know Angel Beach was at Tutong. I thought it was at Berakas. And luckily, I did not join her for the picnic or else my shoulder pain would have been much worse.

As usual, I could not resist the temptation of getting myself a couple new skincare products. Hahaha … Bad habit never dies. Hopefully, I wouldn’t be getting anymore new skincare products next month.

Anyways, let me show you what I had just gotten myself this afternoon …

Laneige Clear-C Effector | B$51.90 & Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Cream | B$85

I tried on Laneige Clear-C Effector a year ago but the BA advised me that the product may not be suitable for my oily skin. But I had been using Kose Seikisho Clear Lotion for the past few months and it seems to be working just fine with my skin. Both products had about the same features as well as the texture. I had tried Laneige Clear-C Effector this evening and it was good. I think it did better than Kose Seikisho Clear Lotion. Well, it’s too soon to say anything just yet. Just wait for my review, will you? Hahaha … xD

I bought Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Cream because I am currently in need of a night cream. I had been using Biotherm Aquasource 24h Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel for the past one week. It was moisturizing and hydrating enough for my skin but it’s the scent which I do not like.

DSCF1320

As usual, Laneige is very generous when it comes to giving samples for customers to try. Unfortunately, I myself had quite a lot of samples for Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX. I had even dumped a sample tub quite a few weeks ago because the lid cracked and I still have another spare tub which I decided to give Kaylie for trial. I had never tried any BB Cream before so hopefully, this Laneige Snow BB Cream would work fine on my skin. xD

DSCF1323

You must be wondering what the heck is the thing in the above picture. Hahaha … This is also a BB Cream but from Elizabeth Arden. Elizabeth Arden doesn’t have much sample to give at the moment but the kind BA squirted a little bit of their Visible Whitening Multi-Targeted UV Shield BB Cream SPF 30 PA++. Visible Whitening is the new whitening line of the brand. I think White Glove Extreme range had been discontinued as the counter no longer display the said line anymore.

One last thing which I bought for the day …

Etude House Missing U Green Tea Nose Pack (Special Edition) #03 Cerulean Warbler | B$1.90

They don’t carry this line nose pack most of the time. This was the first time that I had seen this nose pack at Etude House after it had been launched. Etude House is usually low on supply on their nose packs so I always resort to Tony Moly when looking for nose pack. So, hopefully this nose pack would be good since it’s been a while I tried a good nose pack.
