After our unsuccessful attempt to look out for more food at the charity event located at RBRC, we decided to head elsewhere for high tea. We were at Berakas area at the time and the gang was asking what’s new in the area. To be honest, I don’t think there are much cafes in the neighborhood. I suggested Bello Cafe as the place offers both sweets and savories.
Bello Cafe has branched out to Anggerek Desa located inside Design & Technology (D&T) Building. I think it is to give lunch convenience to the employees working in the area if they don’t feel like driving out for food? As Bello Cafe is located in an office centralized area, the cafe is quiet during non-working days.

As we only had our lunch not long ago, we didn’t go for full fledged high tea session but ordered this to share among the four of us. As Shew Hiang is not into sweets, we went for full board with savories except Chicken Mayo Sandwich but being informed that they ran out of Chicken Waldorf Pita later on.
We have Chicken Curry Puff on the top tier, Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese on Crackers and Mata Kucing Cake on the second tier and Smoked Beef with Olive on Toast and Tuna Mayo Sandwich on the lowest tier. I didn’t eat any of the Chicken Curry Puff. I had Tuna Mayo Sandwich, Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese on Crackers and a small bite of Mata Kucing Cake.
I liked the Tuna Mayo Sandwich. The white bread was toasted beforehand and the tuna filling was generous that it flowed out of the sandwich. Smoked Salmon was good too. They were not as salty as some other smoked salmon which I had tried previously. I left out the cream cheese though. The Mata Kucing Cake however tasted ordinary to me. It tasted rather similar to Chocolate Butter Cake to me?
